Dynamically Populated Table in Adaptive Forms

Is there a simple way to dynamically load and store updates to a table using Adaptive Forms in AEM 6.3? I came across the following article which provides a way to dynamically load a table using an XML file, but it was lacking in details.

Ideally I'd like to load an XML file and then save the XML file after edits when Save or Submit is clicked.  A sample screen shot is shown below:

Once you load the xml any changes done to the table are saved. When you submit the form the data is submitted in the xml format
