Hello Experience Cloud Community Users,

With the new release just around the corner, we wanted to give you a peek at what’s coming to the Experience League Community. This post will detail all major changes planned, including improvements in design, search, structure, and the road ahead!

These changes were reviewed in close collaboration with several of you. Thanks to everyone who participated in our surveys and in-person interviews. We hope these improvements make the Community easier to navigate, more organized, and most importantly, more fun!

Without further ado, here’s a preview of the upcoming Community changes. All improvements will be rolled out on 6th December 2019.

How will I access the new Community?

Bookmark and save the new community URL: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com (will be live on 6th December 2019). Experience Cloud Community users will be redirected from https://forums.adobe.com/community/experience-cloud to the new community URL.

What should I expect in the new Community?

Our goal is to continue to be a trusted source of information and answers, and we strive to consistently improve your journey. To that end, we’re rolling out a completely redesigned Community interface including the following enhancements:

  • Quick access to content – We’ve focused on keeping navigation simple and accessible. Now questions, discussions, ideas, and blogs can be viewed from a Community home page.
  • Prominent search: Search is important; we know it’s the first thing most of you look for when visiting the Community. In our new Community, the search bar has been prominently placed in the Community header and will be visible even if you scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  • Experience Cloud Community navigation: Are you an expert in multiple Experience Cloud solutions or trying to learn different solutions? Navigating across solution communities is simple with a solution switcher just like Experience Cloud.

Important Migration Notes

  • Content lost during transition: Starting 2nd December through the launch date of 6th December, we will be transitioning user profiles, content, and posts from the existing Jive forum platform to the new Lithium platform. Unfortunately, we will lose all the posts, replies, and other content created during this period.

  • Subscriptions and inbox messages: Though the move to the new Khoros platform brings exciting improvements, user subscriptions will not be carried over. This means that bookmarks, subscriptions to threads and places, inbox messages, and friend connections will be lost during the migration.

If you have any content in your inbox and/or connections that are crucial to you, please take precautionary steps to save your subscriptions and who you’re following to ensure that they are not lost in the migration. Note that only the content in your inbox will be lost. The content you previously followed and/or posted will remain and be searchable on Community.
  • Points earned in the Community: In the initial phase of the migration, your points will be converted to ranks, thus maintaining your relative clout in the Community.

  • Restructuring Our Community: We took this opportunity to reorganize select areas in our Community that we felt were redundant or misplaced. The following areas have been reorganized:
  • LiveCycle forums will be moved under Adobe Experience Manager
  • The Adobe I/O Community will be accessible from Experience League Communities
  • Analysis Workspace will be moved under Adobe Analytics

Please keep in mind that consolidating or moving spaces and content will only affect the location of the content. It will NOT result in the deletion of posts or a resetting of group permissions.
