Question on use of DTM Shared Secret for Library File Download

How does one create the shared secret to use for the library file download option? Also, if this secret is used to encrypt the file for download, how then does it get decrypted?

The article does not say anything about the source of the shared secret, or how it is shared, or what you do with the encrypted file. That is where the confusion is. So, if anyone can shed more light on how to use the shared secret, then it won't be too much of a secret anymore :-)
