WebApp publication options on Mid sourcing Deployment

We're currently working on a mid sourcing deployment environmment. 
We're planning to use webApps for some landing pages, unsubcription page. I'd greatly appreciate your insights and confirmations on a few points regarding this setup:

1. Can you confirm that all the different webApp hosting modes available in the deployment assistant (tracking, are viable options for us to consider?

   

2. More specifically, we are interested in the publishing mode that utilizes the tracking server. This is our preferred choice for initial deployment. Could you provide more details or confirm the feasibility of using this mode for hosting our webApps?
