Hi All,
We have a workflow, which fetches data from an external database, and in the workflow we enrich it with the recipients, to get further information about the contacts.
We finally send the email to contacts, using the recurring delivery. The recurring delivery contains some dynamic content which is based on the data coming from external database and few personalization from Recipients data.
The external table contains all live contacts, and before starting the campaign, we need to test the delivery. If we add a proof the mail goes to both main contact and proof ( substitution way ). We can fully test the delivery alone, as the external table details required in the mail will not execute.
Can you please suggest a better alternative to test the recurring delivery
Regards,
DG

As mentioned here:
It is not possible to send a proof from a Recurring delivery type activity.
To directly create a delivery via a campaign workflow, use the channel specific activities that are preconfigured (e.g. Email delivery).

Hi @dipendu_g , As mentioned, It is not possible to send a proof from a Recurring delivery type activity.
If it is business/technical requirement that you must have to use Recurring delivery, I think you can test end to end on test records. If there are test records in DB and campaign, you can create the campaign workflow targeting only test record and then can start the campaign to fully test and verify.
Hope this helps.
Thanks!

Hello @dipendu_g ,
Instead of using the recurring delivery, you can use the delivery activity from the actions tab.
In the delivery under actions to perform, select the "Send a proof" option.
This will enable proofing for testing and if you want the recurring functionality then just change the action to perform to "Prepare and start"
