How do I configure monitoring notifications (alerts) to distribution lists in Campaign v8?

In Campaign version 7, the team uses distribution lists (DL) such as cci-martech@cox.com as native operators. These operators are only used to send monitoring emails from workflows. The DLs are configured in Outlook and do not have any associated inbox.

In Campaign version 8, the DLs must be in IMS and must have an email address associated with them.

What are the alternatives for supporting email notifications to distribution lists in v8?

Hello @hsikder

Try creating an IMS user with cci-martech@cox.com email address and it should work.

Hi @_Manoj_Kumar_,

Sorry to dig up this old post, but does the solution provided here actually work?

Aren't operators in AC only created when the IMS account actually logs in to the instance? If they don't ever log in the native account with authentication type IMS will never be created, and would not be targetable by alerts (since they don't exist).

Is there any suggested or official approach to "functional" operators (email addresses not connected to a person)? (ie the question from OP)

Regards,

Jonas

Hello @JonasNy1  Yes, that's correct. You will have to sync them by logging in first.

Unfortunately, there is no official approach but the one that I mentioned is the the only workaround I am aware of.

Thanks @_Manoj_Kumar_. And is my assumption correct that it would require that you first log in to the client using that email address, verifying it etc?
