Despite receipt failure recipients are retained in the delivery!

Hello community!

I wonder why recipients   are retained in a delivery despite receipt failure and how we can control the quarantine process of these addresses?

Thanks

These documents may help at understanding delivery failures soft/hard bounces and the retry mechanisms.

Recipients are retained in order to be retried in case of soft bounces, as for hard bounces; these are quarantined automatiacally (blacklisted). check the links above as it explains the quarantine mechanisms.
