Hello,

We are trying to create a operator group and assign all required named rights in it. Purpose is to assign all required named rights to new user by adding user to single operator group. We do not want to add new user to multiple operator groups including default groups. What can be done to avoid the case?

Hi @shubhamborse,

You can follow these steps:

  1. Create a new operator group: You can create a custom operator group in Adobe Campaign to which you want to assign all the required named rights. You can do this by navigating to Administration > User & Security > Operator Groups, and clicking on the "New" button to create a new operator group.
  2. Assign all the required named rights: In the newly created operator group, you can assign all the required named rights to this group. Named rights control the permissions and access levels for various functionalities in Adobe Campaign, such as sending emails, creating campaigns, managing workflows, etc. You can assign named rights by navigating to the "Rights" tab in the operator group and selecting the appropriate rights that you want to assign.
  3. Add new users only to the custom operator group: When adding new users to Adobe Campaign, make sure to only assign them to the custom operator group that you created in step 1. Avoid adding them to any other operator groups, including default groups, that may have conflicting or unnecessary permissions. You can do this by selecting the custom operator group during the user creation process or by editing the user's properties and selecting the custom operator group under the "Operator groups" tab.

By following these steps, you can ensure that new users are only added to the custom operator group with the required named rights, and not to multiple operator groups, including default groups, which can help in avoiding any conflicts or unnecessary permissions in Adobe Campaign.

Hello @shubhamborse,

how to achieve this you have to

  • create group and then assign all the named rights you want to this group.
  • now you can assign user the the group and user should get access granted  to the named rights as well

Hello,

What about the rights of out of the box operator groups, like "access to report" is one of the operator group. How can add that operator group to our custom operator group. or How do we know which all rights are included under "access to report" default operator group ?

Hello @shubhamborse,

You can assign OOTB groups to your custom group. Same way you assign operator you can assign group to another group.

Hello Marcel,

In my content window for a operator group , I am able to see and add operator and named rights only. Not able to add operator group to another operator group, refer following image for the same. Can you refer me to some documentation or describe on how we can do that ? That would be really helpful.

Hello @shubhamborse ,

sorry you cannot assign group to the group. If you want to assign rights of default group you need to basically copy right from deafault group to your newly created group.

Best way to see what folders is the group assigned you can list them in schemas. Then you can either manually copy rights you want to take or create some logic to copy these right automatically.
