Upcoming and recent updates may impact IT tech ops, AAM UI users, and implementation experts at your organization. Please review details for each update below.

Planned FTP Disruption

To continue providing reliable service, the Adobe Audience Manager team is planning an infrastructure migration that will impact customers uploading files via FTP.

From 11:00am and 1:00pm UTC on May 7, 2018, the ftp-in.demdex.com service will be migrated to an improved setup. During the migration, you may experience short downtime periods that will impact your ability to connect to ftp-in.demdex.com for uploading files.

The Adobe Audience Manager team recommends scheduling FTP uploads around this migration window, or to retry uploads if the connection is interrupted.

UI Navigation Update

Adobe Audience Manager will improve user experience by moving the product navigation menu from the left rail to the top of the UI. This move creates a modern and clean navigation experience, expands real estate on the page, and is consistent with similar navigation updates in other Adobe Experience Cloud solutions.

As part of this update, the “Manage Data” menu of the UI will be renamed to “Audience Data,” and interactive audience reports will be consolidated into one centralized interface and displayed by default for improved ease of use and discoverability. The mock-up below showcases how the Segments homepage will appear under the Audience Data header.

Top navigation will be enabled automatically for all Adobe Audience Manager customers on Wednesday, May 9. No action is required to benefit from this enhancement.

New parameter to specify data source in DCS event collection calls

Global customers want to keep data from different geographies or different parts of their organizations in different data sources to manage user permissions appropriately. Adobe Audience Manager customers have long been able to send offline data to specific data sources, and recently a new parameter was added that allows customers to specify the target data source for real time trait realizations as well.

This new parameter applies to data collection via Data Collection Server (DCS) API Calls. This enhancement allows customers to keep data from different geographies or data from different business units within the same organization separate from each other.

For additional information, please review technical documentation on Data Collection Server (DCS) API Calls – in particular, the d_tdpid attribute.
