Report Grouping Multiple Pages

Avatar

Level 1

Hello,

I am trying to create a custom report grouping multiple pages, but I still want the detail by individual page.  For example, I need to pull all page views for any page that contains the string 'HealthAnd%' where % is a wildcard. I'd like to set this up as a custom report that I can come back to and run periodically by day, month, etc., as well as pull out the unique customers that have visited these pages.  I know we capture a userid when the visitor is logged in, so that is part of the detail I would need as well.

I have been able to set this report up in the  Data Warehouse, but it is giving me ALL pages visited, where I just want the ones that contain 'HealthAnd%'.  I can not figure out how to apply a filter.

I have had zero luck trying to figure this out on my own.  I am new to Omniture and have little knowlege of the tool other than the basic site level reports.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

So first solution would be to use classification importer to group specific pages under a specific value in another report : http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/reference/classifications.html

You also use automatic classification by using rule builder classification and using a regex rule : http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/reference/classification_rule_builder.html

The second solution would be to use a segment on your report to report only on the pages that you need. In your case I would advises you to use a hit container, if you use Visit container or Visitor container, then our system will ALL the data in the visit or visitor that matches your page rule, so you the report will contain all the pages viewed in the visit or in the visitor lifetime. So Hit container will be ideal for you : http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/analytics/segment/

http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/analytics/segment/seg_container_overview.html

Segments can be applied in Adobe Analytics, Data Warehouse, Report Builder... Create it once and use it in all the tools. You can apply more than one segment at a time : Segment where page = x and segment where country is Y ...

If you want just the total for this group of pages then just run a key metrics report and apply the segment, add metric pageviews and unique visitors

If you want the detail of the pages then run a page report, apply the segment and add metrics pageviews and unique visitors

If you want both then either use Dashboard to display both reports . Anothere solution would be to use Report Builder to extract data blocks that you need then create a dashboard on another sheet with nice graphs and so on :)

Best regards.
