Metasearch Misclassification

Avatar

Level 1

Hi guys,

In the Report Suite Manager, we have set up the metasearch channel based on certain query string URL parameters. However there is still traffic allocated as metasearch w/o having any of the parameters in the entry URL. Any idea how is that possible? Below the setup:

Should each parameter be on a seperate classification rule?

Dear Sara,

I guess you are using incorrect dimensions and metrics.

Select 'Entries' metrics and breakdown the 'Last Touch Channel' only by 'Last Touch Channel Detail'. It should give you proper data. You cannot breakdown 'Last Touch Channel' by Tracking Code if you are trying to do so.

Check out my blog to understand. Link: https://terrynwinter.com/adobe-analytics-last-touch-channel-versus-tracking-code/

Thank You, Arun.
