Yes, Adobe looks at each hit by the identified user and the timestamp of the hit... So if a user is bouncing between multiple tabs, the flow can get a little "wonky".

- Click to open Page 2 in a new tab
- Tab 2, Page 3
- Tab 2, Page 4
- Back to Tab 1, Page 5
- Open a new tab directly, open Page 6
- Tab 3, type in URL directly to Page 7
- Go to bookmarks, open Page 8
The pages will show in the above flow, so in "Tab 1" the user was on Page 1, then did stuff in other tabs and clicked through from Tab 1 Page 1 to Page 5 (the flow will still show Page 4 > Page 5 - but the Activity Map data will show Page 1 as the previous page).
