Our application is using beacons to track custom events called "heart beats" every 10 seconds. Therefore, the 30 minute default session inactivity timer that Adobe uses is causing undercounting of visits and skewing our viewers' visit duration. (I.e. A visitor using their smart tv opens our web app, then 20 seconds later leaves for another channel, but comes back 20 minutes later and turns off their tv after 20 seconds - this is not a 10+ minute visit but rather 2 very short visits of 20 seconds each). The use case here is viewership of a live stream
How do I shorten the way Adobe calculates a visit? For example Google defaults to 30 minutes but allows a setting to be changed and leaves it up to the customer: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2795871?hl=en
I've encountered this problem for (a) a large cable operator tracking guide usage (usually you use the guide multiple times in 30 minutes but each guide use is considered a new visit, even if you only watched life tv 10 minutes in between) and (b) for a broadcast television channel that needs to track visits with a granularity that allows multiple visits in a 30 minute window to be classified as different visits. Without this our visit counts are low, and our visit durations are high.
Can we adjust session duration from 30 minutes to 1 minute of inactivity? Does Adobe have any support for this either as a hidden feature we can pay them more to adjust, or somewhere deep in the report suite admin?

Adobe Analytics has the capability to shorten what is defined as a visit as well, but it can only be done via an Adobe representative. Have a supported user contact Customer Care to request this change, and include your login company, report suite ID, and how long you'd like the visit to be shortened to. The agent can then work with our engineering team to shorten the definition of a visit for you.
