Can we use personal data in Classifications?

Currently, we get a unique Visitor ID whenever they log in on our site, which we can later "translate" on our CRM. I was wondering if we could use Classifications in order to show the "translated" IDs straight into Adobe Analytics workspace, having in mind this would include personal data (although it would include, basically, company name only).

Thanks a lot.

Adobe generally frowns on having personally identifiable information (PII) data in Analytics. But yes, do consult your managers / lawyers about this, particularly with modern sensitivities around data privacy.

I would expect this is more of a question of whether that falls in line with your company's privacy policy?
