Hi, in PowerBI, I built a connecton to Analytics data. Unfortunately, the scheduled update does not work, probably due to credentials. Is there any solution? I don't want to update the dataset every day manually

You can perform below steps to achieve this:

  1. Connect Power BI to Adobe Analytics:

    • Launch Power BI and select the "Get Data" option to initiate the connection process.
    • Search for the Adobe Analytics connector or find it in the available data connectors list.
    • Provide the required authentication details, such as API credentials or access tokens, to establish the connection.
  2. Configure Data Extraction:

    • Specify the data you want to extract from Adobe Analytics into Power BI.
    • Define the desired metrics, dimensions, segments, and timeframes for the data extraction.
    • Configure any additional settings related to data retrieval, such as data sampling or filtering options.
  3. Transform and Shape Data:

    • Once the data is extracted, you may need to perform data transformation and shaping operations in Power BI.
    • Cleanse the data, handle missing values, apply necessary calculations, or merge it with other datasets as required.
  4. Build Data Model and Visualizations:

    • Create a data model in Power BI, defining relationships between Adobe Analytics data and other relevant data sources.
    • Design visualizations, such as charts, graphs, or tables, to represent the data in a meaningful way
  5. Schedule Data Refresh:

    • If you require real-time or scheduled data updates, set up a data refresh schedule in Power BI.
    • Configure the frequency and time intervals for automatic data updates from Adobe Analytics.

There are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the scheduled update of your Power BI connection to Analytics data:

  1. Check your credentials. Make sure that you have entered your credentials correctly in the Power BI connection. You can also try refreshing your credentials.
  2. Check your connection settings. Make sure that your connection settings are correct. You can also try creating a new connection.
  3. Check your network connection. Make sure that you have a good network connection. You can also try restarting your computer.
  4. Contact Microsoft support. If you are still having trouble, you can contact Microsoft support for help.

Here are some additional things you can do to avoid having to update your dataset every day manually:

  • Use a data gateway. A data gateway is a hardware or software device that can be used to cache data from Analytics and make it available to Power BI. This can help to improve the performance of your Power BI reports and reduce the need to update your dataset manually.
  • Use a data refresh schedule. You can use a data refresh schedule to automatically refresh your dataset at a specified time. This can help to ensure that your dataset is always up-to-date.
  • Use a data refresh trigger. You can use a data refresh trigger to automatically refresh your dataset when a specific event occurs. This can help to ensure that your dataset is always up-to-date when you need it.
