Adobe Analytics Flow and Sequential Segmentation

Avatar

Hey guys,

i am struggling a little bit with the Flow Viszualization and the building of these segments of this Flow. Let me start with my first question:

1. What does the number of Path Views saying? In which way it is depending on the Flow Container? Because what irritates me, is the description of the Flow Cointainer. Becaues if i select "visit" the container description says, that the flow show me the number of visits. So does this mean, that "/index" was the Entry Page in 33,208,554 Visits or what does Path View in this case mean?

2. Now we take a look at the segment of this Flow Segment for the Entry Page "/index", which Adobe Analytics is building. Unfortunately, I don't understand the structure of the segment. Why there is an AND condition between these two containers or why it has to start with the first container "Page exists" and then the second container starts with excluding "Page exists"... If i had to build the segment myself, i would just use the second container but the first container with "Page exists" seems to be necessary. Do you know why?

3. The last question is independent from the Flow but it fits thematically to the sequential segments. Can someone explain me the difference between "within" and "after" for the then-operator? I do not really get the sense of the within-operator. What does it mean in a visit container, if i select:

- Page equals "/sport" Then Within 1 Page View Page equals /aktuell/ -> How can two different pages fit within 1 Page Views, because within means for me that it must happen within ne page equals "/sport". Or do i not unterstand the meaning of within in this case?

I would unterstand the within-operator by using a page with an event-metric, which should happen within 1 page views. But i do not get my example.

Thank you very much for helping!
