Adobe Analytics API 1.4 Push Data Into AA

Avatar

Community Advisor

Hello everyone,

Currently my client is using Adobe Analytics API 1.4 to push data into AA. Below my questions:

1) Assuming that I need to create a datasource for this integration, I noticed that I can add only three events. Can I increase that?

2) Where I can find postman example to try inserting data by  Adobe Analytics API 1.4?

2) Can I avoid creating datasource  for API integration?

If you want to send event based data to Adobe Analytics you can use the data insertion APIs. It is an alternate way of sending event data to AA without using the javascript or client side beacons. The data insertion APIs do not require creating any data source.

You can refer to examples here - https://github.com/AdobeDocs/analytics-1.4-apis/blob/master/docs/data-insertion-api/sample_code/r_sa...

And here is an example of data source API - https://github.com/AdobeDocs/analytics-1.4-apis/blob/master/docs/data-sources-api/c_sample_code.md  (Data Sources do not support serialized events)
