Use "Adobe Detected" Rules to Identify/Capture New Social Networks for Marketing Channel Classifications

We are requesting an "Adobe Detected" (VISTA) rule for Social Network traffic referrals.

We are in the process of updating our marketing channel classifications and have observed that our social channel rules need updating. We currently use "Adobe Detected" rules for other channels, like Paid Search and Natural Search, and we're interested in seeing these "Adobe Detected" rules extend to Social Networks.

Given the dynamic nature of social networks, having an "Adobe Detected" rule specific to Social Network traffic would improve our ability to stay up-to-date with new platforms, rather than requiring us to manually update this list each time a new platform is introduced. This would streamline our efforts and ensure more accurate channel classifications.

This is a cool idea... you're right, when new Social Media site arise, they are technically mapped in the Referrer Type "Social Media" bucket.. but Marketing Channels don't use this... here it's just a list of individual domains that has to be manually kept up to date....

I would love to not have to worry about this.  Big up-vote from me!

Yes, I would like a list of social networks,  Currently, we keep a list manually and update Marketing Channels with that.

Sometimes our Socal folks will want to add or remove sites according to their own considerations. They might be presided to just go along with an "industry approved" list, something in the manner of the IAB bot list.
