Use of Tags in new Report Builder

Description -

We want to move from legacy report builder to new report builder but when looking for calculated metrics across many report suits we have more than one with the same name. The description doesn't display on hover and searching metrics with tags is not an option.

How would you like the feature to work - another box in the panel where you can search by tag or display the description on right click or hover

Current Behaviour - No way of telling which is the correct calculated metric/ segment if they have the same name for different report suites. I tried to search using the id: cm155_682f229e9f88e8cc7e5b8bf. https://experience.adobe.com/#/@astrazeneca/so:astraz9/analytics/spa/#/components/calculatedMetrics/... that didn't work.

Love this idea! Or at least let us filter for calculated metrics or segments that belong to the suite.

Like the old reports and analytics... items would be pre-filtered to the current suite, but there was an option to "see all" (which allowed you access to "global" items that were based on standard metrics and dimensions and didn't need to be attached to a specific suite, but were because of the architecture).

One thing that I do, at least with my segments, is I use a prefix on the name to help identify them (something I started doing before tags, and the methodology has stuck)... but it does tend to make my workspace uses a little busier... but at least I can identify them.... 

But yes, tags would make this a whole lot better.

Not having the filtering option for Tags or Report Suites that is available in the legacy tool is a real limiting factor for us.

We literally have hundreds of calculated metrics, with similar names, just due to the way the business has set up its website and tagging.

We wouldn't want to have to rename these - and also renaming would then making the naming longer than needs be, just because of features that exist but not carried into the new tool.

Also we've noticed that hovering over the metric does not display the metric's description where I though I read in the documentation that it should?

@Hayley1 yep, I get it.. renaming stuff isn't fun, and yes, it does make the names longer... this is a potential option that you are free to not use.. but someone else who finds this thread might want to use. Every org has to follow what makes sense to them.

@JoCl you have to click on the ⓘ symbol to see the description of a calculated metric or segment
