Make description fields longer for dimensions in admin section

I'm obsessed with documentation and I see the power of descriptions for new users. Sometimes custom dimensions are hard to explain and I have to give detailed examples (in descriptions) what you can do in reporting with certain eVars etc and many times I get the red text saying description is too long in admin section. Also, GDPR is coming and there is pressure to explain more detailed way what and why we collect custom information and since many tend to pull dimensions with descriptions to SDR document automatically through admin section, it would be useful to write better descriptions directly to admin section and no need to do seperate work in SDR.

Anyone else struggling with this or does this sounds something you would want to support?

great idea, i support it!

further improvement:

- allow line breaks in description (eg for display in workspace info fiels

- add field for links to description document

- add field to map dimension with metrics/calculated metrics

Great to hear Urs. I tend to write in to the description what event/metric you should use by default with certain eVar/prop. Of course, would be better to have some kind of mapping for this. So if you drag "form name (eVar)" to workspace it would then automatically add "form submission (eventX)" as metric (if you have mapped these two in the admin section).

Btw, I forgot to write how long description field should be.... don't know, but I'm sure doubling the length could be just enough.
