Hey Everyone!

For this week, please focus on Section 1, Understanding Analytics in the Adobe Experience Cloud Ecosystem. The goal of this first section is to help you:

  • Demonstrate knowledge on utilizing the Adobe Experience Cloud ID
  • Demonstrate understanding of Adobe Launch
  • Demonstrate understanding of common integrations across the Adobe Experience Cloud Ecosystem

To help you get ready, I'll be posting 1-2 questions every week, and you can all have a go at answering to test your knowledge.

Here's the first question for this week.

Q. Which of these report would help you see users (group of users) sharing common characteristics over a specified period?

1. Fallout
2. Flow report
3. Cohort Analysis
4. Segment Comparison

I am looking forward to hearing from you all!

Correct @LavanyaSa

A cohort is a group of people sharing common characteristics over a specified period. Cohort Analysis is useful, for example, when you want to learn how a cohort engages with a brand. You can easily spot changes in trends, then respond accordingly.

You can find more use case here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/analyze/analysis-workspace/visualizations/cohor...

From Analysis Workspace section, most of the questions will be related to the visualization. It is important to understand the use cases for each. Most importantly, when should we use flow, fallout, histogram, etc.

Try going through each mentioned here - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/analyze/analysis-workspace/visualizations/freef...

Also, check what settings are available for each, such as the bucket size for the histogram. Don't forget to check out Summary Change and Summary Number.

As we proceed further, let's move to Section 2 for this week, which covers the following and will cover the majority of the questions :

Section 2: Reporting and dashboarding for projects (30%)

      • Consider the advantages of using a reporting tool based on a given scenario
      • Compare fallout and flow visualization and appropriate variable types for reporting
      • Apply the process to schedule Projects and Data Warehouse
      • Apply the process to share Projects and Reporting and Analytics dashboards for different users and/or groups
      • Apply the process to set Alerts
      • Apply the process to lookup the dimensions/components
      • Apply the process to create a visualization
      • Given a scenario, determine the appropriate item to use
      • Apply the process to create, configure, and use mobile scorecards

I would also recommend you to go through this document, which will give you an overview of which Analytics Tool should be used under which scenario - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/analyze/admin-overview/which-analytics-tool.

Yes, that is correct. This explanation is already present in the document that I shared earlier - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/analyze/admin-overview/analytics-product-compar...

Also, please take some time out to take the practice test, which is there in the Exam Prep Guide: Link , as it will give you an overview of questions from each topic.

Similar to tools, do check out the Curation Section and the below table -

Hey @prasanthi @Cyrus_Chan  @Marilia_Pinho @umishra @lavanya_Sankaran @roshang @SupriyaDh Hope you'll are doing well!

I'm assuming you guys must already be equipped and well-versed in Section 1 and Section 2.

As we move forward to the 3rd week, below Section should be your focus -

Section 3: Segmentation and calculated metrics (22%)

      • Determine how to develop and configure segments
      • Apply the process to share segments with others in the organization
      • Compare segments
      • Apply segments to Projects and Components
      • Apply the process to generate calculated and/or segmented metrics

Segment IQ use cases are highly important - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/analyze/analysis-workspace/panels/segment-compa..., please do go through them.

Also, do check out the Publish segments to Experience Cloud, its limitation, publishing timeline, etc. - https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/components/segmentation/segmentation-workflow/s...

Please feel free to reach out if you have any specific questions.

Hey @prasanthi @Cyrus_Chan  @Marilia_Pinho @umishra @lavanya_Sankaran @roshang @SupriyaDh

Here's the quiz for this week:

Question:

You want to analyze the conversion rate of users who added items to their cart but only if they first interacted with your site's blog content during the same visit. How would you structure a segment to capture this audience?

Options:

A) Use a Visit segment container with a sequential segment to INCLUDE users who have a page view for blog pages and THEN triggered the "Cart Addition" event

B) Create a Hit segment container that includes users who viewed the blog pages and triggered the "Cart Addition" event in the same hit.

C) Use a Visitor segment container that includes users who viewed any blog pages at any time and later triggered the "Cart Addition" event.

D) Create a Visit segment container that first captures users who triggered the "Cart Addition" event, and then apply a separate segment to filter those who also visited the blog pages at any point.

Hi @FarazHusain ,

I hope you're doing great.

My answer is option "A" -   Use a Visit segment container that includes users who triggered the "Cart Addition" event, with a nested Page View condition for blog pages in the same visit.

Avatar

Employee Advisor

Hey @LavanyaSa Hope you're well!

I have updated the options today. Can you please go through them once and let me know if you still think the correct option is A?

Avatar

Level 2

Hi @FarazHusain

"I'm pretty sure I'm sticking with the correct answer, and here’s why I believe it’s A:

  1. As for B, it’s uncommon for both a page view and an event like 'Cart Addition' to occur within the same hit, making it unsuitable.
  2. Options C and D mention 'at any time' and 'at any point,' which doesn’t fit the requirement.
  3. It should be at the visit level since we need to capture behavior within the same visit.

So, my choice is option A.

In the event that it’s incorrect, I'd be grateful for feedback or guidance on where I might have misunderstood.

Avatar

Employee Advisor

Hey @LavanyaSa, your approach is correct, and indeed, A is the correct answer.

The best part was how you ruled out each option. C and D indeed didn't fit the requirement, so we know that these two can never be the correct answer, then we are only left with A and B, and you correctly mentioned it’s uncommon for both a page view and an event like 'Cart Addition' to occur within the same hit, then likewise we can rule out B as well.

Great work!!!

Since you might be already exploring Section 3, try to explore the Segment comparison panel -> https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/analytics/analyze/analysis-workspace/panels/segment-compa... basically, try to learn what difference score means as it's highly important.
