Hi! During an admin work session many users commented that the homepage is ineffective and you’ve created custom reports for your team members. What everyone discussed is what I am looking to create but have no idea how to do it. Below is what I am looking to create:Create a report that is custom by user Lists all their assigned tasks by project. Needs to show multiple tasks for the same project List the hours they are scheduled by task for a specific timeframe (one week view). Ability to report hours from this same report/viewI’ve been trying to make this work with the Task Report and Hours Report but neither fit the requirements and I cannot figure out how to customize it. Can anyone help?
My organization uses Workfront Planning to manage our Enterprise Strategic Plan. Initially, users submit very early stage Strategic Plan Requests for initial review. If it is determined by leadership that it aligns with the organization's strategic goals, they are approved to begin discovery. The Request itself is not approved at this time, it is just moved to a different status, indicating they can move forward with discovery. Once discovery is complete, it is reviewed again, and only then if approved does it move over to Workfront Proper to become a full project.This discovery could take years in some cases, and is occurring while the item is still a Request in Planning. We need a way for these users to track their time contributed to the discovery process.
My organization uses Workfront Planning to manage our Enterprise Strategic Plan. Through the use of structured taxonomies, we’re able to create a timeline view that allows for the breakdown Strategic Theme -> Strategic Sub-Theme -> Strategic Statements -> Projects, showing where each project falls on the timeline that impacts its associated strategy.We'd like to break it down a step further and be able to expand each Project associated with a Strategic Statement within that timeline view to show the Milestones within the Project, or specifically labeled Parent Tasks, allowing teams to view where each phase of any given Initiative then falls within the overall project timeline all in one view.Currently we're unable to do so as the only available Workfront Object Types to connect to in Planning are Project, Portfolio, Program, Company, Group and Original Request.
Hi,I need to add columns to a report to display real-time document approval Status and Decision values (such as "Approved", "Needs work", or "In review").Currently, these columns are showing up completely blank for several document rows, even though I can see active workflows and user decisions when viewing the files directly in the Workfront interface.I have already tried building Document, Document Version, and Document Approval reports, but I cannot locate the correct database fields. Standard Text Mode fields like approvalStatus and proofDecision are remaining empty.Could someone please provide the exact Text Mode code or the specific API fields/bridge objects required to map these active workflow decisions into a report?Thank you!
Hello! We would like to propose that when using a Workflow Template for Proofing that the V2 (Version 2) of that document would follow the deadline days and time as formatted in the initial template set up. Thank you!

On Friday the proofing app had an outage for around 12 hours. I am wondering if those users who have migrated to Unified Review and Approvals using Frame.io experienced any issues too. Trying to find out if the Frame.io process is more stable as we have been experiencing a lot of issues with proof lately.

I am trying to subtract a system property call {estimate} and a custom field called Actual Points. I would like to advocate for Adobe to introduce more robust reporting capabilities and intuitive charts that clearly display planned hours, actual hours logged, and remaining planned hours for each assignee when tasks have multiple assignees.Currently, it can be challenging to track individual contributions and workload balance across team members on shared tasks. When there’s one assignee per task, it’s much easier, but that’s not real world for us.Enhanced visual reports and dashboards would empower project managers and leadership to better monitor resource allocation, identify bottlenecks, and improve forecasting accuracy. Leadership doesn’t want to look at numerous reports, or jump to the Resource Planner and apply filters, to try and piece together this puzzle.Thanks for the consideration!
It is a huge inefficiency that we cannot bulk edit like items on template tasks in multiple templates. For example, I want to bulk edit a value on the same task custom form in multiple template tasks/across multiple templates. I pull all of the tasks in a template task report, select the several I want to change, all of which have the same task custom form, and you cannot do this. You get the error below. You can bulk edit tasks across projects, why can we not bulk edit tasks across multiple templates?

I added a Workfront Planning connection field to a custom form and now I want to see the field in a Report or View, however, I don’t see the field when I try to add a new column. Is this possible?Thank you!
Hello,As a Workfront admin, I'm looking for a way to automatically notify new users when their Workfront account is created. We must have SSO because once they access their account they have access to Workfront.Is there a setting in Setup that sends an automated welcome or activation email to new users?Currently, I send each user a comment, which triggers an email with a link to Workfront, but I'm hoping there's a built-in automated notification option.Thank you.
When creating a report, you have the Report Default view that is naturally created which works great for a lot of specific reports, but we find creating reporting for multiple teams challenging as they want to see different data elements (different columns) based on their role; looking for options to avoid creating multiple reports for basically the same thing and also increase the ease of using reports without having to team users which views go with which reports and also which ones simply are used potentially in project list views or somewhere else. Idea: Have the ability to create or associate specific views (columns/formatting) and tag them to a report. Ideally, this would be available in a section on top with predefined reporting views that users can quickly navigate between. Bonus: Have the option to select a view based off simple rules such as If TeamID = Leader then present the Leadership view (configured when creating the report!)

It’s not ideal to have to type “confirm” each time you want to update a field value. For some fields we have 20+ values that need to be updated. It would be better to unlock all of the values for a field after confirming once.Also, the process of confirming itself is not intuitive. It’s not obvious that you need to type “confirm” instead of the updated value itself. It would be better to have a “Confirm” button.
Hi Everyone,I’m looking for some clarification regarding the behavior of Typeahead User custom fields in Workfront reports.We have a Task report with a custom Typeahead User field named Assigned Channel Strategist.Here’s what we’ve observed:The Assigned Channel Strategist field displays correctly in the report column.The Typeahead User field is not available when configuring a report prompt.As a workaround, we added the corresponding Assigned Channel Strategist ID field to both the report and the prompt.When entering the User ID in the prompt, Workfront correctly resolves and displays the corresponding user’s name.However, after selecting the user and running the report, no records are returned, even though the report contains multiple records with the same Assigned Channel Strategist ID.We also verified that the field values and User IDs match correctly on the underlying task records.My questions are:Is this expected behavior for Typeahead User custom fields in Workfront report prompt
Is there a way to create a calculated field on a Project form that will automatically pull in the Portfolio Manager Name? I have scoured Experience League and haven’t found a way to do this. I am needing to group a report based on the projects portfolio manager name to display as a chart. Since this isn’t a native project grouping, I’m unable to create a chart based on it unless I can pull it into a custom field.
