Adobe Marketo Engage

Hello Everyone!   We have been trying to set-up our “Salesforce Campaigns Object” and create custom responses in Salesforce and make sure that everything is mapped correctly to Marketo. We are planning to always create our campaign first from Marketo and sync it manually to Salesforce from Marketo using the “Campaign Sync” functionality since Marketo will push in a one-way direction the different “Statuses” of our campaigns. We are also going to create the following custom fields in SFDC, so it will automatically sync down to Marketo.   We are seeking some advice on how we can sync the following fields back from Marketo to the “Salesforce Campaign Object” everytime we set-up a campaign in Marketo and sync it over to Salesforce? So basically, we will be adding these fields to every campaign we set-up in Marketo in the future and we would like these fields to be synced to the Salesforce Campaign from Marketo.   Campaign Management (1) Campaign Name (2) Parent Campaign (3)

Hello Community,   Our technology team set up a non-Marketo form that collects information, this form does not contain the company field, and as this information is not provided, they created automation on their side that fills out the company field with First Name and Last.   These persons are now synced to Marketo and their company field value is affecting negatively lead scoring.   Do you know how I can create a smart list of people who have the Company Name equal FirstName and LastName?   Thanks in advance for your help!  

I have two Oauth2 accounts (Munchkin ID:792-XXXXXXX) and (Munchkin ID:650-XXXXXXXX) . 729 Account worked as expected without any errors, but when working with 650 account, I always get 601 exception even when using new access token also. Could you please tell me what I can do to fix this issue? or else resolve this from your side ?

Hello  I have many campaigns that each have a flow>send an internal alert with multiple choices based on country. The country and recipients are the same but the email is different. We have many programs with this campaign set up and when there is a change to the recipient I have to go find each program/flow and update it. Is there a different way to go about this without having to within each one? Example: Orange Smart Campaign Flow: Send Alert Choice 1: If the Country is Canada send Email Orange to A, B, C Choice 2: If the Country is Japan send Email Orange to D, E, F Choice 3: If the Country is the United States send Email Orange to H, I, J  Apple Smart Campaign Flow: Send Alert Choice 1: If the Country is Canada send Email Apple to A, B, C Choice 2: If the Country is Japan send Email Apple to D, E, F Choice 3: If the Country is the United States send Email Apple Orange to H, I, J  Thanks  

Are other people having to constantly refresh due to Marketo getting stuck saying  "Saving Smart"? This happens to me all the time even if I wait several beats after seeing the save finish. And I even see it when I've done nothing at all to a smart campaign's smart list. I have reported this in the Feedback for the new user interface but I'm surprised more people haven't chimed in there. For me, it's so bad in Firefox that I started using Marketo only with Chrome. But even in Chrome I see this message a ridiculous number of times. I used to wonder if it was something about my internet connection but a couple of months or so ago I upgraded to a dramatically higher bandwidth connection and that made no difference. Just wondering if others are being driving crazy by the same problem.

Hi there! I was wondering if anybody knew if there is a way to suppress or block employee interactions with landing pages or emails in order to have clean data? For example, if we have a landing page with 400 views, about 50 of those come from our own team members testing or editing the page which at a larger scale can skew our data.    Any thoughts or insight here?   Thanks!

Hi all - One of my email templates is suddenly not working anymore and I can't figure out how to fix it. I am receiving the error in the picture below. There was an update made recently to the velocity script in some tokens that are being utilized for this email. I'm wondering if this is playing a part in the issue.    However, the error is not very clear in describing the issue and I'm not sure where to begin to troubleshoot this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!  

I want to integrate Marketo with Google Ads. Can someone guide us through the steps to do the same? Currently Marketo provides integration to pass on data to Google ads via Launch point. So, is it possible to bring back data to Marketo from Google ads? i,e. bi-directional sync. And what are the limitations.  

Hi, Our accessibility team has highlighted an error they have seen on Marketo forms that we have added for the first time to our CMS (AEM): "When we check for the screen reader text, all the highlighted text below would get read out. They are the error messages for the form fields and this would be confusing for the end user. They are usually meant to be hidden until form validation occurs on submit. I believe this will impact all the new Marketo forms. Can you aresolve this issue if possible?"The issues they see are highlighted below. Is this anything I can change myself or is it something that needs updating on the Marketo end?  

Hi! How do you handle existing leads who's interested in multiple products? Example, Lead X submitted a form for Product A today. The next day, Lead X submitted another form for Product B. How will it flow in the life cycle? Do you consider it as another new lead? Note, we're only using single instance.

Hi All,    I am setting up a subscription/preference centre and have come across an issue while building the preferences form. Our company provides a range of services across various regions in Australia NSW and QLD.   My Scenario: When a customer fills out the form they can select one or more regions via a checkbox and a list of locations associated with that region is displayed. (Similar to a Country picker that shows States once Countries are selected, but our list of regions/sites)   Also note, this form will be hosted on a Marketo Landing page, but I will also have other versions that will be embedded on a WordPress website.   What I tried: Created a Region custom field and added it to the form as Checkboxes. Created a Sites custom field and added it to the form as Checkboxes. Set up visibility rules so that when a selected Region contains the region name a list of sites associated with that region is shown. This works fine if I select just one Region, but

We're a new Marketo user having recently migrated from a competing tool. Our Marketo database, due to upstream systems feeding into Salesforce by design, has many duplicates, many many duplicates😭.Ultimately this needs to be fixed and its something we're pushing for, its not going to happen anytime soon though! My issue Our audience has two distinct segments  - Clients and Brokers. There are email addresses duplicated across these two audiences.   When setting up campaigns we need to ensure we do not email duplicates both the Client and Broker version of Comms. Where duplicates exist, we need to prioritize the Broker version of the contact.Currently I have been managing this by downloading the email addresses in my Broker Smart List and manually adding them as an (many) email filters on my Client Smart List. Is it possible to create Salesforce tasks with HTML links that display friendly link text that I define?   Meaning, the underlying link--for example--is: https://www.a-survey.com?Name=Surveyee&CampaignID=12345    When the task owner looks at the task via Salesforce, they see friendly link text like: Start the survey - Surveyee   I want to... create a Salesforce task that contains a personalized URL that Marketo builds using tokens data allow BDR to copy and paste the link into an email to surveyee with as little effort as possible have that link appear to surveyee with friendly text, instead of the actual URL Alternative suggestions are welcomed. I need to submit a datetime in ISO 8601, which Marketo stores datetime as, but in webhooks it looks like they are formatting the token as if you were putting it in an email? If I hard code the datetime properly formatted (with the T and the offset) the webhook works perfectly and I was wondering if there was a way to do so with a toke since that's how it's stored in the database.   Thanks!

Hi there,    We utilize Splash (splashthat.com) for our events. Splash does offer an integration piece, but it maps the form fields and integrates into the programs and tokens so that everything is synced. We have spent a ton of time trying to find a solution regarding all of the tracking that we are missing when using this platform and then last week found Flowboost for associating the lead activity. In the step-by-step instructions, #3 references appropriate token for the field containing the cookie value.    After trying so many things, our webhook tests keep returning cookieValue = "" and there is no value.   Would anyone be able to explain the appropriate steps in obtaining and/or creating a token for the field containing the cookie value?    

Hi   Just wondering if anybody else has noticed some changes to way Velocity script renders emails in preview mode:   1. It seems to display a 'default' version of the email even when no contact has been selected in the preview, I'm sure it used to only render when a person was selected in the 'View by'? 2. Is there a good way to integrate 2 factor authentication for Marketo?

Hi Team, I am new to Marketo and Adobe analytics. I am trying to explore "how to sync static List created in marketo to adobe analytics? Do we need to do some integration from marketo to analytics. We don't have audience manager in place. Without audience manager what all is possible from marketo to analytics and vice-versa.

When I send an email using an Email Template from Marketo, the content is duplicated. Why is that so?For example:-header -body -footer   -header -body -footer   Its showing the content 2 x times.    How can I fix this? Regards, Sara

Hi community!   Is there a way to see if all the API-role users are active and see all calls that Marketo receives?   I want to remove users that were created as a test or are no longer in use before I joined my company. Hello Nation!   As most of you know we have launched "Proximity Pattern" a new identification method for email bot activities. After 2 months of observation and analysis we have seen great results with the proximity pattern. We have seen proximity pattern is able to identify 3x - 5x more bot activities compared to IAB list. Following are the changes we have launched this week:   Update to Proximity pattern algorithm:  If there are clicks or open from the same lead at the same time i.e exact duplicates will not be considered in the algorithm. Also, if you have duplicates only one activity will be logged into your subscription To improve the accuracy of identifying bot activities we reduced the proximity pattern logic from 2 seconds to 0 seconds i.e when more than 2 activities happen at the same time i.e under 1 second, they are identified as bots. "Filter out" option is now available for the Proximity pattern: Now you can choose to completely eliminate the activities
