Hi All We have a master template that we use for about 30 business units. Lately when we make changes it takes a very long time (20-30 minutes) to approve any changes we make to the template or sometimes it just hangs and if we refresh the page we see it has been approved. Currently there are about 3300 email programs using this template. What do others do when they see this slow down in approving changes to their master template?   thanks, Kevin

We have a weekly reminder campaign we send using the same program (different database table).   For example, week 1 = 100 people are overdue for timecard submission and get a reminder Week 2 = 90 people are overdue and get a reminder. 30 of these 90 people, also received a reminder in Week 1   The Smart campaign is set to: If person has been in this Smart Campaign before Each person can run through the flow every time If person has reached the communication limits Ignore limit   If I create a smart list campaign of who was sent the campaign in the past week (ensuring not to include Week 1), it says 90 unique records/people. However when we create a report it says only 60 people received it.    We are baffled on why it says 60 on the reports when the smart list query shows 90 (which is correct on who should have gotten it).   Can someone help explain and also advice on correcting the report if 90 is the true number?

My use case is to semi-gate some content using an “In Zone” RTP campaign so that known visitors that have opted in are presented with the default content delivered by the CMS and everyone else gets the content replaced with a sign-up form by RTP.  On completion of the form, the visitor should change segment and, when the page is refreshed (using javascript), be able to access the content.   My understanding is that: RTP only checks the Matched Segments once per session, With Sticky ticked, the campaign should be delivered every time a visitor hits the page in the same session   My first issue is that if I match the segment and the RTP campaign is delivered, if I navigate away from the page and then return to it in during the same session, the RTP campaign is no longer being delivered – this seems to be contrary to the documentation and the purpose of the Sticky box.  Any ideas?   My second issue is that after the form fill (or a form fill on another page whic

I've imported a list into Marketo that was used for one particular "terms and conditions" type email. A large portion of this list are non-marketable contacts. However, there are some contacts that are on this list that are involved in other campaigns I'm running. I can't figure out how to run a smart list to find the following:   Member of List: List is A Has only been sent Terms and Conditions Email   The filters I'm running seem to be showing me who's on the list and was sent the email. But that isn't meaning they couldn't have received others. Hope this is making sense and that there's an expert out there!

Hi,  We have a nurture stream for which we are stopping any entry of new leads as we will be making this nurture stream obsolete once all members have completed the cadence.    Is there a way to tell who is currently in the stream and if they have exhausted the content or what emails they have/have not received??   Thank You. 

Hi.I've created a form on a follow-up landing page that enables people to specify their topics of interest through checkboxes.As 'Form Pre-fill is enabled  assumedit would autopopulate these checkboxes with the information we already have on the person but it doesn't.Is there a way to define whether a checkbox should be preticked based on existing data? maybe using tokens?Thanks,Paul

I am having difficulties with troubleshooting our Marketo to Drupal form integration. For Context, My company utilizes Drupal to build and host our website. We also use Drupal forms on our website to collect lead data. However, that integration recently stopped working - when visitors fill out any of the forms across our web page the data is not passing through to Marketo. I have been trying to troubleshoot the integration, however, I can't even find the integration the admin section of Marketo. I've never set up this type of integration before and I'm trying to figure out what needs to be done on the Marketo end to set up a Drupal for intergration.    In my research I keep finding documentation about how to set up the Marketo MA module in Drupal, However I don't see anything about what to do on the Marketo end of the integration.  So my question is what do I need to do to get a Drupal to Marketo integration up and running?

I'd like to create a view where I can see the submission date (and time if possible) for each form submission. While I can't find this - the information is clearly stored somewhere as I can use smart list filters to search for those who filled out a form in a given time frame. Anyone know how to pull that into a smart list view.    Could I, moving forward, use a hidden field to create the date/time stamp on a form submission. Doesn't appear I can use tokens so looking for any insight you may have!

Hi,    We have an engagement program in our Marketo Engage instance that contains multiple streams.    1) We want to stop using/turn off 1 of the streams.  How can I do that without losing the stream history?    Do I simply archive all of the assets in under/within that stream?   Do I need to somehow "turn off" the stream?  I know that there's a way to turn off entire engagement programs ( that's not what I want to do) but I don't see a "turn off" option for just a single stream.    2) the filters that we use in this stream to define the audience entry and transition rules ( etc. If product interest updates to X) , we now want to redirect that audience to a different stream.  Do I simply delete the entry rules for this stream and give them to the other stream where we want this audience to go into ?     Your help is appreciated!    Many Thanks 🙂  

Hello everyone! I've searched all the posts related to it here in Marketing Nation, but it seems most of them are outdated. We'll start working with a client that wishes to use Sprinklr to send WhatsApp communications, and its Marketo connector is not available in LaunchPoint anymore. Has anyone gone through this use case recently? Any tips are welcome, since it's going to be my first Marketo project. Thank you guys! 🙂

I'm trying to use an executable campaign to send out a welcome email to those who view various recorded webinars on our site.When using an executable campaign, does my token used in email also inherit the parent value? When I test it, the email's my-token takes the value set on the program itself, and not being overridden by the program where I'm calling this from.   What I want to do.. Call executable campaign from each of the webinar programs where we have tokens set for webinar names and urls. Executable campaign is in another program, and email has my tokens for things like webinar names.   Flow - I use 2 execute campaign, and the one that's just value update which seems to work fine.   token set on parent campaign.   Should I just create a field that I can update in the flow before I send out an email and use that value in the token? If anyone has good workaround, please let me know!    

Someone asked an easy one on Marketo Nation today: We are adding new branding domain aliases to our Marketo Instances and we were wondering if we can use the same alias across all instances?   The answer is definitely No, and figured it was worth an official post in case others have this question down the line.   The explanation is pretty simple (as these things go!).   Branding domains are implemented via DNS Alias (CNAME) records. The left-hand-side of a CNAME record is the alias: your branding domain. The right-hand-side is the canonical name: the Marketo-controlled domain.[1]   An alias value is only allowed to appear once per DNS zone. Hello,    I am building an engagement program that will support two audiences. One from a 1st party audience driven via Lytics and the second from 3rd party list uploads.    I need to report separately on each audience. My thought was to build a default program for each audience and create separate streams.    The same emails will be used. I am just trying to avoid having to manage multiple programs when any change needs to be made.

Hi everyone,We're running into an issue where after a task has been created via Marketo, it is immediately deleted from Salesforce. I can see the task creation in the lead's activity log and everything looks correct there, but in Salesforce there is only a "Routing Task" but the task itself is not there. Our Salesforce Admin said it was deleted, but sees nothing in the automation that would cause this. It doesn't happen on every lead, just a handful a month, but the Sales team doesn't want to miss any leads. Any ideas on why this would be happening?

Call it the Law of Large Projects: eventually, someone’ll receive data they don’t have enough experience to validate, give a shrug, and assume it must be right.   APIs, awesome as they are, are one cause. Developers might fetch data from the REST API, but without really knowing how to use Marketo itself (they might never have logged into an instance!) they can’t really understand the results.   And as data gets further transmogrified by internal processes, it can end up with stuff that would make a Marketo user instantly say That ain’t right! while devs are happily logging LGTM.   Such was the case when the Annual Revenue field showed both positive and negative numbers in a client’s in-house BI tool, whose underlying SQL db gets populated via the Marketo Bulk Extract API.   And there were 2 different reasons, as it turned out. Hi Community Experts!   I'm playing around in our Target Account Management for better understanding before we set it up in our new instance, and when importing Named Accounts (downloaded them from our CRM), only 65 of my 202 accounts get imported. When I download the failures/errors, they are all listed with "Incorrect Data".    Does anyone know WHAT data is incorrect? There were no issues with mapping data, and all the fields I imported look fine to me! However, I'm open to the fact that something might have been mis-added, so I'd love to make sure I'm aware of that for the future.   Any help is appreciated  😀 Michelle

Hi Everyone,We have occasional issues with values stored in cookies not being stored in hidden fields on form submit. Sometimes the information in the cookies are stored and sometime they are not. Support is trying to help but I am wondering if anyone has any insight on how to trouble shoot. Setup:1. We store utm values in cookies when people come to our site. 2. When the user converts via a Marketo LP  we auto fill the hidden fields with values from set the cookies. We have tested in multiple browsers (normal and incognito modes) and always the cookies are set but on submission the values are not always stored. Any ideas?Thanks in advance,- Frank

Hi, Using Velocity Script, how can I separately retrieve Date, Month and Year values from a datetime field from a custom object?  Example: We want to send a weekly email to those who complete at least one course in the last week. The third party integration sends data to Marketo every Sunday and the email should go out in 1 hour of sync to those who completed the course.  We want to create a velocity script for this case to run auto-sending email every week (without any manual date updates in the script). We have below 2 questions: 1)  Seems like we would need to compare 2 datetime fields, while ignoring timestamp values.  "updated at" field in the CO - which captures the time when the sync occurs; and  system datetime 2)  We need to run a one-time email to catch up with the previous users who completed course/s. The Global Variable in the email is set to Open Sans, which is what we want for the body text. We're editing the headers in the Text Editor to a serif font (Times New Roman). It shows up correctly in the Preview, but when we send the test email, it arrives with all text throughout the email as Open Sans.   How can we make the headers a different font and have them NOT change back to the Global Variable when sent?   I can edit the code in the email to force it to do the headers as the serif font, but it causes the template loses its capability to add any other modules to the email. Why is the text editor not overwriting the Global Variable font?
