Hello there!   I'm new to Velocity and need some help. I'm trying to list all the names of approved applications within the last 12 hours in an email. Does anyone know how I might be able to have a form submitted, then present the user with a second form that doesn't requite the user to re-enter thier email address? I know field logic would do something similar in a single form, but then the form can't be submitted until all fields are supplied. Longer forms mean more abandonment. If I can get the basic info on the first form, I have them in the system. Indepth qualifing info could then be gathered by the second form.Some users may not complete the second form, but many would if I tell them this will speed up our turn around time. But I don't want to annoy them by asking for email address when they just supplied it on the previous form.Any and all ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hello! I haven't fully tested this yet, but I am wondering if it's possible to do the following: Can I create a webform that, once submitted, redirects to a second webform, and then ensure that the data from both the first and second webform makes it onto the same lead record? More specifically, what I'm trying to accomplish is, webform #1 will ask for basic info, and webform #2 will ask a bunch of optional product-specific questions. All the questions combined are too big for one webform, which is why I am hoping to be able to split it up into 2 webforms. Also I should mention that these are external landing pages on our company website, not Marketo landing pages. Thank you!

Hey all!  When enabling the Bot Activity filter, you have the option to either "Log Bot Activity" or "Filter Bot Activity".  "Log Bot Activity" keeps tabs on what clicks/opens are bot-generated, but still includes those clicks/opens in your results. "Filter Bot Activity" excludes those from your results.   My question is, when you choose "Filter Bot Activity" are you still able to see the bot activity using the Smart List filters "Opened Email > Is Bot Activity" and "Opened Email > Bot Activity Pattern"? Or is that data no longer stored?   Thank you!

Hi All,I am trying to figure out the best way to pre-populate the email address in the unsubscribe page. So basically, in our unsubscribe page, we want to show the email address to the person who clicked on link but they should not be able to edit the email address. I used default value (email address token) for the email address field but default value will get the data from stored cookie and it might differ in some cases.Is there any way, we can get the email address picked from email?Any help will be appreciated.Thanks,Sant

Hi Team,   Just wanted to check whether do we have an option to restrict an user to few specific smart lists while creating roles/ permissions?. As far as I know, we don't have that option to restrict the usage of smart list for a user. Please let me know whether we have any feasibilities.   Thanks!

Is anyone having issues with the MS Campaign name being stripped out of their Marketo Programs or "add to Microsoft Campaign" functionality? We have confirmed there are no sync issues (between Marketo and MS CRM), and no permissions have been updated on the MS CRM Side.   Happy Emailing to All!

We recently set up an engagement program in which we want emails to be sent every 2 weeks. We also included multiple days that emails could send: Tues, Wed, Thurs. (See screenshot below for set up). The reason for this was: 1) If new members come in after the email is sent (say on a Tuesday) we don't want them to wait 2 weeks to start  2) We have daily limit set in our instance, so if they reached the daily limit for that cast we didn't want them to wait 2 weeks for the next email, as that would mean 4 weeks between emails for this engagement program.   What happened is that emails were sent 3 consecutive days instead of waiting 2 weeks. For example, people that received email 1 on Tuesday, received email 2 the next day on Wednesday, and email 3 the next day on Thursday.   Is this the behavior that is supposed to happen with this set up? We expected that if they received email 1 on Tuesday, it would wait and send email 2 on Tuesday 2 weeks later.    We are also

How would the data received be affected if I used a different field type in a form than what the default is? For example, changing a date field to a string field, or a boolean field to a text box.  Does this have any back-end implications or will it just accept the data and only mess with the operators?

Hi,   We are running into an issue where we recently implemented ReCaptcha on our Marketo forms (embedded on Umbraco) and are seeing bots completing the form, thus entering the system.   While I've see the steps to set up smart lists and flows so that they are not synced or made as MQL, my concern is about these still being triggered as successful actions on the Google PPC side. We are seeing their scores and Recaptcha status' marked as Suspicious, but they are still being shown as successful form fills.   Is there anyway to prevent these spam/bots that are successfully completing the forms to either:  - Not count as successful form submissions, thus not counting against us from a Google PPC side? - Fail submitting the form because their Recaptcha score is Suspicious? -Another option others use to prevent this from being an issue?   Cheers, Kyle

Hey there - I was wondering if anyone has experience integrating Segment.io & Marketo? We are mid-implementation for our Marketo instance and we are hitting our daily API limit by Segment every day. We negotiated our Marketo contract to have 100k/day, which is already a lot so I'm finding it odd that Segment is hitting that limit all by itself.   We have Marketo both as a Source and a Destination in Segment, and we have a 10k call/day limit set up on our Source info. Hi All,   I am using a "Send alert" flow step to notify my Internal recipients (seedlist) about all the email deliveries so as to avoid the communication limits issue (daily/weekly limits) for them. However, I can see that using this method, it's showing all the names of seedlist recipients in the "cc" section as shown below:   Question - Do we have any platform functionality through which my audience members does not see these seedlist recipients details ?  

Hi everyone, Hoping there is an easy solution to this. I'm using a global form embedded in several places on our website - I would like to be able to hide one of the fields on some of these pages and have it autofill to a certain value. I have tried hiding the field via visibility rules and then adding a hidden field in the embed code, but Marketo seems to ignore this (I presume because the field is actually there, just not shown).   I know I can just add the value after the form is filled in via a trigger in Marketo based on referrer, but would rather add it at form fill if possible.Thanks!Will

We have send out 4 emails through one time send program but while looking at the email performance report we see email sent and deliver number of email 3 is different compare to other emails. Every else audience list used is the same in all 4 emails.  Please help me with the solution or what was the error in email 3 it was showing different sent and deliver number.

The widely-read Yes, Virginia, you can use emojis in Marketo Subject lines sets the record straight: as long as you manually Q-encode the characters, there’s no barrier to using emojis in Marketo.   Tons of people use that method with few complaints. But one thing isn’t mentioned in that post (my bad): once you manually Q-encode an emoji, Marketo flips to “manually encoded mode”.   In manual mode, if the Subject line contains other non-ASCII characters, you need to Q-encode those, too, using a tool like the one in the other post. (In normal/automatic mode, as long as Marketo doesn’t strip a character completely, it’ll be Q-encoded for you.)   I’ve found the most common offender is the single curly quote/typographic apostrophe (’). Every time time somebody claims there “there aren’t any special characters” they’ve forgotten that curly quotes are not ASCII! They want a Subject like:   It’s time to park it and get shopping!    So they Q-

Hey all,I am revamping the way an old agency did "Lead source recent" programs. They have it set up that if the program status is changed, then the lead source recent will be Direct/Organic. This would mean even if they came in through something like paid search, Marketo would stamp the lead source recent as "Direct/Organic" overwriting the just stamped "Paid Search".   The lead source recent field includes a date but not a time. How can I find a way to make sure if the field was just stamped within x seconds, then this flow skips updating it as the default "Direct/organic"

Hello there.   We use Form API to submit form data into Marketo from AEM. The data gets into MKTO correctly. But the data value in a field isn't. We have a field that gets multi select values. For all the Multi select values, there are multi values as well.   For example, if there is are A,B,C as mutli select values, if an user selects A, then Marketo has to get the values as A1,A2,A3. Likewise for B, it should get B1,B2,B3. We know this is possible if we use MKTO LP and MKTO Form. We tried change data value option as well, but even that doesn't satisfy the condition.    Is there a way in AEM to send in correct values into MKTO?   Thanks!

I post the combo in my HTML Source Editor and as soon as I click apply and go back, the &#847 portion of the combo disappears. Anyone know why? Ty! 

Hey guys, is there an easy way to "clear out" all previous email addresses you've sent tests to? These have stored over time, and now the list includes folks that no longer work here, etc. Is there a quick way to clean that up, so when I go to send a test, it just shows the couple of addresses I like to send tests to on a regular basis?Minor detail, but if I can tidy it up, that'd be awesome. - Jen

Was wondering if anyone has any insight as to why a field on a form is creating styling issues. I cloned a form and when I replace one field with a different value, the layout got skewed. It's a required field, but for some reason they're two asterisks by the field and I can't see why (see screenshot)   We have custom head HTML in the meta and js footer script on the landing page to help with the form styling in general and it usually does the trick . Wondering if it's the page or if the form is the issue.
