Hello there!   I've got a {{lead.Email}} in my database. We send out emails to our leads with an links, and the href for the anchor tags contain the email address as a URL query parameter like so- ... <a href="https://abc.domain.com/route?email={{lead.Email}}">My Cart</a> ...   We've observed a problem with this- some leads enter their email with a + sign, and this sign remains intact in the URL (it should ideally be parsed into a %2B in the URL). How can I do this?   I've tried writing VTL scripts for this-   Script (my.parsedEmail): #set($email = ${lead.Email}) #if($email=="") #set($email = "null") #end $email.replace("+","%2B"))   Email: ... <a href="https://abc.domain.com/route?email={{my.parsedEmail}}">My Cart</a> ...   This approach resulted in the entire VTL script getting dumped into the URL. https://abc.domain.com/route?email=&mkt_tok=long_string#set($email%20=%20${lead.Email})#if($email==%22%22)null#end#if($email

I'm new to my company and trying to figure something out. We have a contract vendor that's created a UTM stamping function for us based on form fills/links/email clicks (on a priority system). This information is desired to have in SFDC, so they created synced fields on the Lead/Contact objects for this.However, the stamping function is slow - so much so that we have had to turn of the Program level SFDC Sync in order to let the UTM stamping function finish updating before the SFDC sync happens, in order to get the information across correctly.The vendor is telling us that all of this - including the smart campaign driven, "manual" SFDC sync - is best practice, and I'd like community input on this, as well as if there are better solutions out there for capturing UTM Tracked Medium/Source values. Thanks for any insight!

Hi everyone, I just ran a rather large number of test leads through a smart campaign that executes a series of executable campaigns. When looking at the campaign queue, I could only see the parent smart campaign processing through the lead list - none of the executable campaigns seemed to appear. Can someone confirm whether executable campaigns are supposed to appear in the campaign queue? If not, is there somewhere else I can see their processing status? Thanks!

We have a direct integration of Marketo and salesforce, recently we added a lead in salesforce but that lead is not showing or flowing in to the marketo. what could be reasons or error the leads are not showing in marketo. Please help us with solution.

A person triggers the campaign on Monday at 9pm, the person will continue the flow on Tuesday, 5am. A person triggers the campaign on Monday at 11pm, the person will continue the flow on Tuesday, 7am. Hi everyone,   Have you ever found yourself in a situation where there was a lack of information in the Community posts or even in the Marketo documentation? I have. In fact, it happened while my team and I were working on a complex Nurture Program for one of our clients.   The problem/need Can Marketo determine if a person has already received a specific email from another campaign? The email I’m talking about is also included in one of the Engagement Program Streams. We know that emails within a Stream automatically have this safety feature and skip sending emails to the same person twice. Hey Team,   This isn't question is not about a product, unfortunately there isn't a category for general help that i could see.    The question is an oldie but a goodie, are people still experiencing links not working when they SMS a new lead/customer? It was quite prevalent 5 years ago, but i have joined a new organisation and it is impacting their URL's.    Is there any reading anyone has come across that flags workarounds or solutions for this?     Cheers   ry       

Have a Product Request Form on our customer facing website. The functionality allows user to select multiple products t and receive a pricing quote for the products and quantity they selected.  A "catalog shopping experience for the user".  Want these Product Request form submissions to automatically create leads in Dynamics CE, need the products and quantities to be visible in Dynamics CE on the lead (or existing contact record if known name) and the products and quantities to be included on the Person record in Marketo.  Has anyone been able to solve for this use case? It's my understanding that Marketo form fills are simple and are unable to capture multiple products and quantities.

Hello, Does anyone have any idea/thoughts on the best way to match/tie records within a Lead across different objects in a way that can be used through Smart Lists without needing to be specific to the exact record? For example: Object Name Person A Person B Person C Customer Details Bob Susan Bill Accounts Savings Checking Savings Loans Car Motorcycle Mortgage Identifier Field 123 456 789   I know I could do something like a unique identifier that applies to the Customer Details, Accounts, and Loans tied to an individual record within the Lead - but is there a way to use a Smart List to do something like:Has Customer Details Has Accounts = SavingsHas Loans = Car   Like is there a filter to match without needing to specify the match itself? Like obviously you could do "Field X contains "123"  but that doesn't help if you are sending to multiple people.

Hi, I have 2 queries regarding the MQL(s) identification. As of now, the model we are utilizing provides the MQL based on an overall engagement of the contact. However, I am trying to figure out how to identify the MQL(s) based on a particular program or campaign. Is it possible to do this? If yes, please explain the method. I tried to find some of MQL(s) alternatives. Instead of identifying the program specific MQL, I am looking for the valuable contacts. Like contacts who filled the form, attended the event, performed the required action. Let me know if my approach is correct or not. Thanks!

Has anyone been able to pre-populate Cvent registration pages with Marketo data? Here is the documentation from Cvent on this functionality: Personalizing Registration Experience   I haven't been able to get this functionality to work with our Cvent/Marketo integration. Hello,   I'm being asked if there is a way to have a form and have Marketo look at the fields (still trying to identify what fields, but for security purposes, it would need to be more than email address). Is there a way for Marketo to compare the form entry to information on a record? do email, address, name, etc all match an existing record? if so send a confirmation email. We don't currently have passwords saved in Marketo... but it's sort of like a forgot username situation. We just need more than an email address to give the relevant information.   I'm not really seeing a way of doing it in Marketo alone. Is this something a webhook like flowboost could help with?

Can I track IP addresses of visitors to a Marketo landing page if that person is not currently in my Marketo database?

Hello,   I’d like to use the tool named UploadCare to allow visitors to upload documents in a Marketo embedded form. Regarding our specific configuration with our website, we use a CMS component to integrate Marketo form and there is a call to Marketo form to display it. Hi everyone, Quick question. I have a custom object called "Accounts", which has several different data fed fields including one called "Product". I created the custom tokens in my velocity script (snapshots below) to show the balance, and next date due of a specific product. Payment Velocity Script: Next Due Date Velocity Script: Product Code Velocity Script:   However, the data shown when the tokens are placed in the email is incorrect, as it is pulling the payment amount and due date info for the wrong product. The issue here is that under the "Accounts" custom object, another entry is added for every new product that is purchased by a customer. My question is, is there a string of code that should be applied to the "payment" and or "due date" custom tokens to ensure that the data pulled is for the correct Product? Hello Marketing Nation! I'm considering recording lead sales in Marketo Engage's database using Custom Objects. Specifically, the client need to create segmentations based on the categories of products that were purchased, whether the client has credit to make new purchases, and/or whether they have made any orders within the last 120 days - all of it combined sometimes. We created the CO within our sandbox instance, sent some purchases records through the API and tried those filters for the Smart lists, and it seemed to work...however, I'm concerned about the potential performance issues that might arise if our current client has a large number of sales records. Has anyone else encountered this issue before? If so, how did you manage it? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on whether recording lead sales in this way is a good practice, and whether the benefits outweigh any potential performance issues. Hi All,   I was looking through my Marketo Lead Database records and observed that majority of the records who have SFDC type = "Lead" or "Contact" is having either the Readable non Id value in Account field or Null value.  On the contrary, I checked for the records who are either "Lead" or "Contact" and have the SFDC 18 digit id (approx 2%) and could not find any similar pattern as to why they are having this 18 digit id.   Could you please assist me if this is legacy data, or any Mkto process is placing non ID data in this field?  

I have a Landing Page where I've swapped out the marketo form for a calendly embed. This calendly embed, when submitted, triggers a marketo form submission through the "rest/v1/leads/submitForm.json" API on the backend. Along with passing the lead data, I am also passing along the pageURL where the calendly submission took place.   I can create a "fills out form" trigger constrained by the Referrer URL in a Smart Campaign in order to capture form submissions generated by this API. However, I would like to use the "webpage" constraint instead for the following reasons:   1. It is the trigger used for all other smart campaigns in our instance, and it would be preferable to have the same trigger here, rather than having to document and explain to others why "referrer URL" has to be used in these specific triggers rather than "webpage" 2. The referrer URL trigger will fail to fire if the Landing Page URL is changed in any way, whereas the webpage constraint doesn't have this issu

Hello Nation,   As some of you know we announced the addition of certain IPs to our blocklist as part of our ongoing efforts to combat bot activity (incase you missed here is the blog). However, following customer feedback and further investigation, we have discovered important insights we have decided to revert these changes.    Reasons for Reversion Upon customers feedback our team started doing more analysis on these new IPs and identified: IP quality score – confirmed IP address was recently used by Bots. A large number of click activities – about 50K per IP address per day. Same user agent across all the IPs and does not vary with lead or subscription. Click activity at the same time as the delivered activity (sometimes recorded before the delivered activity) IP addressed are confirmed to be  part of Barracuda Email Gateway Defense - https://campus.barracuda.com/product/emailgatewaydefense/doc/96023036/email-gateway-defense-ip-ranges Since these IPs
