Adobe Journey Optimizer

Hi there,I'm new to AJO, and would like to know how can I throttle sends without coding or making API calls for these channels/Actions?1) Email2) Custom ActionsThanks,Amanda

we have a requirement to send real time AJO events into AWS Kinesis . We are able to achieve this using AWS API gate way endpoint url . But for some reason we have a restriction to use AWS gateway endpoint URL. We need some other solution to achieve this using custom action.

Introduction: The New Standard for Agile MarketingIn today’s hyper-personalized digital landscape, marketers are expected to deliver relevant, timely, and consistent content across multiple channels. But managing this at scale—especially with real-time updates—can be daunting.Enter the powerful integration of Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEM) Content Fragments with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) This duo empowers marketers to:Create structured, reusable contentPersonalize it dynamically using customer dataUpdate it in real time across all campaignsLet’s explore how this works, and then dive into a detailed, real-world use case to bring it all to life. What Are AEM Content Fragments?AEM Content Fragments are channel-neutral, structured content blocks stored in JSON format. I. The Silent Churn Killer: Poor OnboardingThe first 90 days of a customer relationship are critical. It's where the initial excitement of the sale meets the reality of implementation. If customers encounter friction instead of a clear return on their investment, their commitment wavers—a familiar and costly problem for many businesses. The "Leaky Bucket" AnalogyAn enterprise's marketing and sales teams work tirelessly to fill a bucket with new customers. But if the bucket has holes—caused by a confusing, unsupported, or frustrating onboarding experience—those hard-won customers will leak out as fast as they can pour them in. This is churn, and it is the silent killer of growth.A Tale of Two CompaniesReactive Corp. onboards a new customer. The customer gets an automated welcome email and is then left alone. After two weeks of struggling with the product, they file a support ticket. By the time support responds, the customer's project is delayed, their team is frustrated, and t

How to fetch Journey Name, Journey Status (Live, Draft, Closed, Dry Run etc) and created by (Person name) Details using either query service or via API. I know the status and created by are not available in any dataset but is there any way I can download or fetch these values for all the journeys in my sandbox ?

The Core Idea: How It WorksThe concept is simple: AJO orchestrates the process, but an external system handles the actual human task (like reviewing content and clicking approve or reject). Think of AJO as the conductor and your team as the expert soloists. The Flow: AJO pauses a journey using Event node with relatively long timeout, sends a request to an external system where a human makes a decision, and then AJO receives that decision to continue the journey down the right path. This integration relies on a few key AJO components working together:Custom Actions: The "messenger" that sends the approval request from AJO to your external review system (like a CRM, a Slack channel, or a custom app).External System: The "human's desk" where the decision is made. This is the interface your team uses to approve or reject the request.Custom Events: The "messenger" that brings the decision from your external system back into AJO.Event Activity: The "gatekeeper" in your

Hi Folks,Greetings! We are trying to strart IP warming phases and following steps is complete and tested internally but giving us error while running on phases :- Audience Created with profiles to be targted for IP warming- Campaigns created with above audience creation- Email Channel configuration completed and tested for delivery.- Created IP warming plan beginning with phase 1 and using #2 campaigns created for Ip warming schedule. While I am waiting for IP warming phase to kick in, I am getting below error where the message is:"The server encountered an internal error and could not execute the run. Duplicate the run to schedule activation at a later date and time." I did re-run by duplicating the failed ones, and also adjusted the time as per audience evaluation. My audience is evaluated and ready around 7:30PM EST time and I am running the phase at 9:30/10:30PM EST time to begin IP warming.Even After multiple Attempts I face same error and support is also not helping

Adobe Journey Optimizer's (AJO) dedicated IP Warm-up Plans go beyond simple volume ramping, offering sophisticated controls to fine-tune your sender reputation strategy. These capabilities empower you to manage your warm-up process with precision, adapting to real-world deliverability challenges.    1. Domain Exclusion: Targeted Reputation Management    Sometimes, your reputation with a specific Internet Service Provider (ISP) or a particular domain group might require special attention, even while your overall warm-up plan is in progress. AJO's Domain Exclusion feature allows you to temporarily exclude specific domains or custom domain groups from a warm-up phase.  Practical Use Case: Imagine you're several days into your IP warm-up, and you notice a higher-than-expected bounce rate or lower engagement specifically with emails sent to Yahoo! Japan (yahoo.jp) or Yahoo! India (yahoo.co.in). Instead of pausing your entire warm-up, you can:  Create a custom

Adobe Journey Optimizer's (AJO) IP Warm-up Plans feature offers a streamlined approach to building sender reputation, moving beyond complex manual journey configurations. However, a common point of confusion arises when activating runs within these plans: users sometimes encounter the error, 'The run failed as there are no qualified profiles. Select the 'Split runs to a new phase' option to choose a different campaign and audience."This often stems from a critical, yet frequently overlooked, timing issue related to AJO's batch segmentation processes.  This guide will clarify the paramount importance of correctly aligning your run activation with your batch segmentation schedule, and how AJO's configurable retry mechanism provides a crucial buffer to ensure your warm-up campaigns execute smoothly and reach their intended audience, even when unforeseen delays occur.    The Challenge: "No Qualified Profiles"    When you activate a run within your AJO IP Warm-up P

New sending domains and IPs start with zero reputation. If you drop full-scale marketing volumes on day one, mailbox providers will throttle or junk your messages, crushing engagement KPIs for months.  This guide shows how to build and protect reputation from day zero inside Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO):  A sample four week, volume-phased warm-up calendar.  Correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC set-up (with helpful check links). Real-time monitoring dashboards built in Query Service.  Proven “Abort / Adjust / Accelerate” troubleshooting playbook.  Follow it and you’ll hit the inbox faster, with fewer headaches and happier stakeholders.    1. Why IP & Domain Reputation Matter    Mailbox providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft, Apple Mail, etc.) score every sender on four pillars:  Complaints ⟶ “Did recipients hit spam?”  Engagement ⟶ “Do they open, click, reply?”  Infrastructure ⟶ “Is the sender authenticated, stable, non-spammy?”&n

Hi team, I'm seeing lot of cases where a push notification is excluded, and in the corresponding message.feedback event, the pushPlatform is listed as APNS, even though the profile has FCM as the push platform.Do you know why there's a mismatch between the platform in the feedback event and the one stored in the profile?

We have a scenario where we need to show a specific content block in the email only if the customer has opened any of the first three emails.I wanted to check with you:Is there a way to implement this logic directly in the HTML template using js or dynamic content rules

Hello,I need to import html files as visual fragments and make certain elements editable so that marketers who don't know how to code can use them. For some reason, the images and buttons work great after importing and converting the html to be more AJO compatible. However, I'm not able to make the text elements (heading, paragraph) editable. It seems strange that AJO would be able to make images and buttons editable but has trouble with text. Has this happened to anyone else? Text elements HTML: <h2 style="margin:0;color: #3D3D3D; font-size: 20px; line-height: 28px;">Ut Enim Ad Minima</h2> <p style="margin:8px 0 0;color: #3D3D3D; font-size: 15px; line-height: 22px;"> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. The Foundation: Sender Reputation—It’s Not Just About the IP Sender reputation is the score ISPs assign to you as a sender. It’s a blend of your IP reputation and your domain reputation. Both matter—a lot. You can’t just spin up a new IP or domain and blast millions of emails. ISPs are watching, and so are we. Building a Strong Reputation from Day One The Critical First Step: IP and Domain Warm-up Warming up isn’t just for IPs. Every new sending domain or subdomain needs its own careful ramp-up. We built AJO to help you start small—targeting your most engaged recipients first, then scaling up as you build trust with ISPs. Skip this, and you’ll hit blocks or spam filters, guaranteed. The industry’s shifted: domain reputation is now front and center, especially with Gmail and other domain-focused ISPs. Even if your IP is golden, a cold domain can tank your deliverability. If you want a step-by-step guide to doing this right, check out the official AJO IP Warmup Getting Started page&nbsp

“The High-Stakes Silence Between Offer and Join”  In many organizations, notice periods can stretch from 30 to 90 days—a time when candidates are emotionally distant from their future employer but still on the radar of competitors. For HR teams, this period has traditionally been marked by chaos: countless manual follow-ups, missed nudges, inconsistent buddy assignments, and a big question mark around engagement.  We knew this had to change.  What started as a manual engagement flow has the potential to evolve into a fully automated, orchestrated experience using Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO). The result? A scalable system that can keep everyone informed and every candidate engaged—without needing to lift a finger after setup.  The Problem: Engagement Drops, Offer Declines, and HR Burnout  Before automation, every part of the candidate engagement journey was HR-driven and manual:  HR teams sent each welcome and follow-up email manually.  Buddies were

Introduction In fast-paced marketing environments, timing can make or break a campaign. Whether we are reacting to a sudden flight cancellation, a trending topic, or a flash sale opportunity, the ability to quickly reach the right audience is crucial. The Custom Upload feature in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) empowers marketers to quickly import and activate an externally generated audience via a simple CSV file — enabling campaign activation within an hour.   Use-Case: Fast Recovery Campaigns Let’s say an airline operations team flags 3,000 customers whose flights were just canceled due to unexpected weather. We want to send them a personalised apology email, offer hotel vouchers, and redirect them to rebooking assistance — all within the next hour. With the new Custom Upload (Import audience) feature, the marketer can: Export the affected profiles to a CSV file (with customer IDs, flight numbers, cancellation timestamps, and more). Upload the CSV file in AEP

Controlling how often customers receive messages is critical in today’s marketing landscape. Too much outreach can cause fatigue, reduce engagement, and erode trust. Modern marketing automation tools must offer precise, real-time controls to strike the right balance. Adobe Journey Optimizer now supports daily frequency capping, making it easier than ever to manage customer communication across channels, journeys, and campaigns. Daily Frequency Capping in Practice Luma, a premium lifestyle and apparel brand, is known for its data-driven marketing and highly personalized customer journeys. To keep customers engaged, the brand runs daily campaigns across multiple channels—emails for product drops, SMS for loyalty offers, and push notifications for cart recovery or flash sales. As their marketing efforts scaled, some customers began receiving 5–6 messages per day across various campaigns. This led to higher opt-out rates, lower engagement, and a risk of damaging long-term custom
