Adobe Experience Manager Sites

AEM version 6.5 (SP 15)We have some config values of type AttributeType.PASSWORD, values are encrypted before putting into config file.Do we still have to decrypt them before using them in our Service? As per this documentation AEM will do it automatically, I wanted to confirm (without checking myself) - https://github.com/AdobeDocs/experience-manager-65.en/blob/main/help/sites-administering/encryption-support-for-configuration-properties.md#decryption-support-decryption-supportIt saysAEM now provides a Configuration Plugin to decrypt configuration properties. This AEM Plugin will automatically decrypt and retrieve the clear text properties.This is the way to decrypt them (if we have to) -@3214626 CryptoSupport cryptosupport; Public getDecryptedKey(int encryptedKey) { if(this.cryptoSupport.isProtected(key){ this.cryptoSupport.unprotect(key) }}

Hi All, Just want to hear from experts on the stability of AEM 6.5.21 version which got released recently. We are upgrading our On-prem version from 6.5.17 to 6.5.21. We are also incorporating language copy and live copy creation to Experience fragments to our existing structure. Any known issues or anything need to be aware of before we are live . Thanks,Gokul

these are the things that came to mind 1. rebuilt the repo to use the new/latest maven archetype2. In addition to no.1, check dispatcher configs and the cloud manager configs3. if ACS commons is in used, check what features needs to be redeveloped/removed4. There's a more comprehensive list from adobe.com (which I can link later)  but I'm wondering if there are other things I need to know. Thank you.

Hi All,  I have a requirement of displaying a pop-up window before moving the assets to destination folder using the MOVE option if the asset already exists in the destination folder. As of now, when the asset is already present in the destination, AEM creates creates the duplicate by appending numeric values. Is there any way to check for asset duplication before the asset is being move and notify user through popup?  Thanks in Advance.

From my very limited understanding of Adobe Commerce, it's a storefront. Marketers can create product-related pages and details there. In real scenarios, would external users (buyers visiting a website) interact directly with the Commerce Storefront? I am assuming Adobe Commerce has to be paired with Target, Campaign, or AEM to create a seamless customer experience.  Is this correct ?Also if external users can visit commerce store, order products etc.. Can I bring my own CIAM solution to Adobe commerce and customize it

Hi Team,I need to execute a query which has to support both like operation and equalsignorecasepath=/content/type=cq:Pageproperty=jcr:content/jcr:titleproperty.value=%Construction%property.operation=likeBut I'm able to use only like operation and equalsIgnorecase separately i need both like and equlsignorecase in the same query.

Hi Team       We are currently working on developing a column control component with two columns and two containers. We need to restrict certain components to the first column cotainer and a different set of components to the second container. However, We can set policies only on container component and it gets applied to every container. Is there a way we can achieve this?   Thanks Veena

What additional knowledge does a senior AEM developer need to support an organization that requires expertise in AEM Guides, compared to a standard AEM developer. I feel most of the OOTB features can be directly used from AEM guides after going through the docs. Thanks,Geo

Hi All,  We have enabled encapsulated tokens in one of our environments and disabled sticky sessions in the load balancer. When we load our page, some API calls are routed to one publisher while others are routed to different publishers(Expected). In one of our user-related authentication calls (which loads first), we retrieve the user's ID and save it into the HTTP session. However, subsequent API calls that rely on this ID and are routed to a different publisher (different from the one that handled the authentication call) are failing because the ID is null. As a result, we are encountering exceptions due to the WWID being null, and no response is being returned. We know encapsulated token mechanism will not handle server side sessions. Is there any way we can handle server side session in this case. We cannot save the ID into cookie as it will give sensitive responses in few APIs if other people uses.       We tried dispatc

We're using the Form core components in AEM 6.5The form text however does not behave as expected. After adding Required Message : It should show the message as mentionned in a tooltip. Instead, we're getting what seems to be a generic message in the language of the site:  There is also a slight difference in the wording of the message depending on the browser used. Same issue with Constraint Message. Is this behavior normal? Did we miss a configuration somewhere?

Hi AllAs I noted  from adobe document, Content copy tool in AEM as cloud , the limitations are ,The content copy tool has the following limitations.Content cannot be copied from a lower environment to a higher environment.Content can only be copied from and to authoring services.Cross-program content copy is not possible.Running concurrent content copy operations on the same environment is not possible.Up to 50 paths can be specified per content set. There is no limitation on excluded paths.Do not use the content copy tool as a cloning or mirroring tool because it cannot track moved or deleted content on the source.The content copy tool has no versioning capability and cannot automatically detect modified content or created content on the source environment in a content set since the last content copy operation.If you want to update your destination environment with content changes only, since the last content copy operation, you must create a content set. Then, specify the paths

Hi, I am using aem 6.5.11.0, my requirement is to generate sitemap using service pack11 and Im following this article to generate https://aemsimplifiedbynikhil.wordpress.com/2021/12/01/apache-sling-sitemap-for-aem-6-5-11-and-aemaacs/But im not adding any dispatcher configurations as mentioned in the article When I try to access sitemap.xml its throwing error, is it because of omitting dispatcher configuration part? I need to apply common styles to multiple components. I’m considering copying the settings imported from AEM in ui.content\src\main\content\jcr_root\conf\xxx\settings\wcm\policies\.content.xml and pasting them into other components.In this case, is it acceptable for cq:styleId to be duplicated across components?For example, below is a portion of the policy for the text component. I would like to duplicate the content inside the cq:styles tag and use it for other components.  <text jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"> <policy_1710140125554 jcr:lastModified="{Date}2024-03-14T09:11:38.218Z" jcr:lastModifiedBy="admin" jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured" jcr:title="Text Common" sling:resourceType="wcm/core/components/policy/policy"> <jcr:content jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"/> <rtePlugins jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"> <paraformat jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured" features="-"> <formats jcr:primar

Hello everyone, I created custom renditions using Processing profiles in AEM Cloud. Below is the URL that I followed. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/configuring/processing-profiles But it didn't worked after uploading the assets in the DAM, assets are coming broken and seems in processing state(Attaching a screenshot below). After sometime process completes but the asset still comes broken and no renditions are coming. As well the default renditions that we get in AEM those are also not coming after creating the processing profile.Broken asset Screenshot: Can someone help on this how we can get custom renditions using processing profiles or is there any different approach to create custom renditions of the assets in AEM Cloud.My Cloud SDK version: 2024.6.16799.20240614T073455Z-240600Thank you
