Hi Team,Can somebody tell how to connect to another AEM DAM from an AEM instance search page and search for assets and render thumbnails. Clicking on the thumbnails will be an external link to the asset.?Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone, We are trying to implement CUG for our assets folders on AEM 6.3.3.6 Publish instance. While it works as intended in AEM Sites it seems to have no effect on the assets section. The UI is available in the Folder Properties page and we can add the desired group to the Closed User Group field. The appropriate node rep:cugPolicy gets created under the folder and is visible in CRX but it seems to have no effect on the actual permission. Also in the intro of this tutorial https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-manager-learn/assets/collaboration/closed-user-groups-feature-video-use.html it is noted that "Support for Closed User Groups with AEM Assets was first introduced in AEM 6.4". Does this mean that we definitely should not expect CUG to work for assets folders though they can be configured in 6.3? Thank you very much! 

Hi All, Is it possible to export assets from scene7 between specific dates? What are the best options that are available to export assets from scene7 to AEM without custom script/code. Currently, we can manually export 500(count)/1GB of assets by selecting them from scene7.Earlier we have reverse sync option in AEM where we can sync assets from scene7 to AEM. This is deprecated from 6.3 Thanks in advance! 

We have a requirement where we need to check expiry data of all assets uploaded in AEM. If a given asset does not have expiry date we need to cancel asset upload and show error message to asset uploader. How can we achieve this requirement?One solution i had was to create a workflow step in update asset workflow and check for expiry datetime, if not found, send an email and delete the asset. But this solution is not intuitive as it does not provide any details to users at the time of upload, rather it provides information once asset upload is completed. Regards,Mayank

I am using differnt mentadata schema for my assest,where I am using different property name for expiration butAEM OOTB Assest Expiration report is using property name -  prism:expirationDate to generate the report. Is there any way I can change the property name for OOTB Assest report? Thanks

Hello Experts,  I have received an email from Scene7 support that TLS 1.1 security protocol will not be supported from 29th Feb 2020. I have analyzed that there is no impact as such in our system but still I would like to hear from experts if there could be any potential issue for Scene 7 users. Our Current Setup: We are uploading assets into DAM, these assets get sync to S7 using DAM update asset workflow. After the successful upload of assets into S7, we use these assets for authoring.Assets access URL format is //company.scene7.com/is/image/image_name_without_extension (asset access url is not having request scheme while accessing the asset in pages for authoring). Cheers!

My use case is - when an asset is uploaded to Brand Portal, I want to run a workflow on the asset before it gets synced to AEM. Is there any mechanism available in Brand Portal? I don't see that in the documentation and also on the portal. Other option that I'm evaluating is I/O events. Are there any I/O events available for Brand Portal?  The last option i'm evaluating is - i will let the assets sync to AEM from Brand Portal and then trigger a workflow on AEM. Thanks,Rahul

I have run workflow and in it is assigned to a participant group but the notification is not coming to inbox for the user of that group in the instance.Is there any configuration for notification for this which can be corrupted as this works with another instance?Anyone can help me to resolve this issue?

Hi All,I have a requirement of loading all the assets from a different domain, and I am able to achieve the functionality using ACS Commons - Static Reference Rewrite Transformer Factory and Apache Sling Rewriter configuration.It's able to rewrite all the links and dam assets, but some component I have the images are loading from style tag with background-image property and it's not able to rewrite the background-image property even though the content is loading from DAM path.Any suggestions? Hi, I am new to AEM workflows. I am trying to create a simple workflow that will unpublish selected assets and then move them to a specific folder within AEM Assets.I'm having a hard time finding the steps in the workflow builder tool that will do this. I see ways to publish and upload to Dynamic Media or Scene7, but not a way to unpublish. I also don't see anything about moving files from one location to another.Is there anyone who can help me figure this out? I would really appreciate the support. Thank you.

Hi, when I try to delete an asset from a page that is published or (view as published). The page breaks and I get an exception. However, what i want to do is to display an error image thumbnail or something else over there(in the image component). Hi,I have some questions about using alt text in AEM. Hope they are not too abstract.1. How do I find all my alt text in AEM, like some sort of metadata file I guess?2. How do AEM process alt-text? After I fill the alt-text field, screen reader just speak it out word to word?or there is a mechanism with which AEM tries to understand my alt-text/or the image? Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone, We have a requirement to create reports for users activity regarding AEM Assets, ex. uploaded, modified, deleted, etc.  We need to be able to do that for every AEM Author user we have. Using ACS Commons Audit Log Search ("/etc/acs-commons/audit-log-search.html") is very useful since we can search for users activity for the last year lets say but can not generate a report out of it in spreadsheet for example. Is there a ready made way in AEM 6.3 already to do that? Thank you very much! 

Hi guys, We have been creating new image transforms using the ACS class com.adobe.acs.commons.images.impl.NamedImageTransformerImpl. Very nice, you just create a new OSGI component configuration as follows: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><jcr:root xmlns:jcr="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0" xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" name="tablet" transforms="[crop:bounds=288\,0\,2304\,959,bounded-resize:width=768&height=320,quality:quality=75,progressive:enabled=true]" jcr:primaryType="sling:OsgiConfig"/> and the transforms crop, bounded-resize, quality, and progressive are executed on the fly against the original image. Okay, great. But limited. Now I need to create a new image transformer. I can do so by implementing the interface com.adobe.acs.commons.images.ImageTransformer, but I can't get the classes NamedTransformImageServlet or NamedImageTransformImpl to pick it up. I think the ImageTransformer implementations

I have used both AEM 6.4 and 6.5 instance where i have to start workflow after replication listener. Replication listener is working while workflow is throwing exception. Need the code where the Logic for generating the "DOWNLOAD Count" in ASSET Download Report is implemented/maintained in AEM 6.5

I am setting up our Custom Metadata Schemas and would like to have the ability to filter by the values that are assigned to the new Metadata fields that I am adding.  From what I have read in the links below and others I've found online, that is done in Tools > General > Search Forms > Assets Admin Search Rail.  Search Facets Use custom search facets However, when I add the Property Predicate, I am not seeing the Custom Metadata field when clicking through the Property Name check box & navigating through the jcr:content folders.  Is there a step that I'm missing here?  Or are Custom Metadata fields not available to be used as Search Facets in Assets? Note that I'll also be looking to use this Search Facet on Brand Portal.

Create a new public collection in AEM 6.5 as admin. I got the message saying the collection is created successfully and I was able to see the collection in crx/de but the collection is not showing up in UI.
