I have a page and some related assets in it，when i trying to publish this page by acticate tree，the related assets will not be published successful，but can be published successful when i try to publish this page by quick publish button 

hello, i am using aem 6.5so we have few configurations which are provided by aem like referrer filter or user mapper or html library manager etc.my requirement is to update configuration from my code so that developer dont need system/console access to do changes in author or publish instance. is it possible to do so?also if anyone can help me with how to write custom configuration code which aem will refer as per runmodes it would be great.

As part of business requirement , we need two modes square(360*360) and landscape(400*192) of same image (actual image dimension is 1000*1000) . We created image presets(wid & hei parameters added) & found that we will get white background appended on the border of image if actual image is landscape & we are trying to retrieve square image & vice versa .So to remove white background,  we applied format alpha-png which helped us in removing transparent background but created another problem of reduced image size.In order to prevent small size image & white background, we appended scl=1 in image url  which cropped the image to desired size & also removed the original content of image.Is there any solution using which we can get image required size of image without any above mentioned problems.

We want to check there is already image present in DAM which is similar / Identical to the new image which is being uploaded. We want this activity to happen while uploading of new Assets in DAM.

Hi all,I am working with AEM 6.5 and we are heavily using the MSM (one English Master and 156 Live Copies).However, in our day-to-day work we have come across a few MSM related features which we think can be improved.1. Ability to synchronise at component level - At the moment you can only synchronise the full page, but we have a lot of use cases, where this is exactly what we want to avoid. We can already rollout at component level, so I was wondering if we could also synchronise at component level, too. This would be very helpful to our authoring team.2. View dialogue box without breaking inheritance - Currently, everytime you need to check for some content (eg. accessibilty or data tracking attributes) in the Live Copies, you need to break inheritance, open the dialogue box and revert inheritance again. We are currently using Capture One to output camera images directly to an internal network file server.  The business will then use Desktop App to move the images from the server to AEM folders.  We want to remove the file server and output directly to AEM.   However, we do not see a way in the Capture One tool to configure (although it does use the Finder's and mounted network drive) and believe the Desktop App uses a different technology to connect).  BTW:  We have opened a case with Capture One, but curious if anyone has a similar requirement or need within their AEM Assets implementation.  Or if Lightroom as a solution, we could make a case for switching from Capture One. 

Hi, I need to generate video renditions by providing height and width as an argument . Is there any way to do so?I tried FFMPEG transcoding step , it is generating rendition but not of my desired height and width. Also I need those renditions in same format with which originally the file was uploaded. Thanks,Rohit

I have requirement to get all the assets and its properties in .json format at certain level by URl as /content/dam/abc/a.1.jsonI am able to get data using httpclient library by get call ,Is there any other way to fetch the data in json format as I don't want to pass username and password in get call

I am using AEM 6.5, and I have the setup of author and publish as local instances. I have a custom group which is inheriting permissions from OOTB Content-Author group. Additionally i have added Read/C/M/D/Replicate permission to /content/experience-fragments (and all the child nodes). My user is a part of this custom-group and when the user is trying to publish an experience-fragment, it works fine. But, when the user tries to do Publish-Later, it fails with the below message: I am getting this error:*ERROR* [0:0:0:0:0:0:0:1 [1599136364749] POST /etc/workflow/instances HTTP/1.1] org.apache.sling.servlets.post.impl.operations.ModifyOperation Exception during response processing.java.lang.IllegalStateException: This tree does not exist 

Hi All, Can someone please help me with creating gif image renditions in AEM6.5? I tried creating renditions using custom code but all it creates is static images, animation effect is no longer present. Hi AEM Gurus, Is it possible to use jcr sql2 query to find pages that contain the same id value (supposed to be unique but got duplicated some how) in one of the custom page property? I have tried with this sql2 query but it fails since we can't compare a dynamic operand against a dynamic operand. Since sql2 doesn't have group by, having clauses, my choices seem to be limited. I also tried playing around with not issamenode but no luck so far. select n1.[jcr:path], n2.[jcr:path] from [cq:PageContent] as n1 INNER JOIN [cq:PageContent] as n2ON n1.[custom_id] = n2.[custom_id]where ISDESCENDANTNODE(n1, "/content") and ISDESCENDANTNODE(n2, "/content")and n1.[jcr:path] <> n2.[jcr:path] So basically custom_id page property should have been unique across repository but with users copy/pasting pages, same custom_id value can be on multiple pages and we need to find these pages. Thanks in advance,SKM 

Hi,  Is it possible to flush the Dynamic media CDN's cache on demand from AEM using APIs or any other way? Please note that in my setup, the AEM is configured in Hybrid mode. I know that it's possible to do via API when in Scene7 mode.  Any direction to do this would be helpful. Thanks

We've been running Desktop App 1.8 but with our recent update to Mac OS 10.15.6, the installer isn't opening Desktop App. We've added Desktop App 1.10 but the design team is seeing performance issues and INDD crashing. 

We are programmatically trying to create/update assets . Code looks like below: Asset asset = assetManager.createOrUpdateAsset(path, assetBinary, documentMimeType, true); Now the first time asset gets created. If the asset is updated using the same method it is adding jcr:isCheckedOut = true. As per https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/spec/jcr/1.0/8.2.6_Check_Out.html documentation this property states that the node is checkedOut while its versions are created/updated.  Can we get clarity if this property should change to checkedOut = false stating that the asset updates are completed or is it as designed product behavior to have this property as true. Appreciate all the help in advance.

I can upload .txt, .csv and .xlsx files into the DAM, but then when editing a page, I can only find the xlsx file in the Asset Finder (left panel).  I suspect this issue is around the mimetype.  The files not displaying have a mimetype of text/plain and text/csv.  The xlsx, which does show up, has a filetype of application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet. What do I need to do for text/* mimetypes to show up in the Asset Finder? (The reason I want to upload a csv file in particular is we are converting it to json and displaying the results in a datatable that accepts json.)

Hello All We are using XML Documentation plugin and there are company specific topics as part of specialization. We would want to attach metadata schema based on the topic and not by predefined path. How can we achieve this? Is this supported OOTB? Currently the metadata schema forms can be attached to predefined folder paths which becomes static. We want to attach different metadata schema forms based on the topic types instead of path. ThanksGanesh

I have a requirement where I need an export report of all pages and assets that are on each of the four dispatcher servers also include last modification date (cq:LastModified). One report for each one of the dispatcher servers.  Any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated.

Experts, We have integrated Adobe Analytics with our AEM Assets environment to track the score usage and perfomanct data in Insight tab on each assets metadata. The data is capturing correcting in to analytics and visible in to report suite. How on AEM author metadata insight tab only performance data is visible not the score and usage (see below screen shot). Could you please help me in to this issue? Thanks

I have a requirement to build an API to make available to mobile app the images stored in AEM as assets. The tricky part is that the API must return the image rendition correct for the device screen size. AEM have available the methods to determine the correct image rendition for the screen?

Hi, We are trying to create renditions for assets. Currently using aem 6.5 (service pack version -6.5.0) .  We got to know that DAM update workflow will create renditions as per given measurements if we upload any image in dam. We could not edit or create a new workflow model in workflow models console.  Can someone please help me understand why we're not able to edit DAM update workflow. Do we need to add any permissions to the user to  edit and create. Thanks,Sonali. 

Hi Experts, we have one requirement like one user group have allowed to see the one folder in AEM DAM. However same user want to search the asset from entire DAM (from all folder ) on pathfield popup. How we can achieve this? Thanks~S

Hi Team, I tried accessing the pages in Author environment and the page header and footer content is loading properly while loading the page .http://localhost:4502/editor.html/content/we-retail/us/en.htmlIt is also loading properly in publish instance .http://localhost:4503/editor.html/content/we-retail/us/en.html But the header and footer is not loading if I try accessing it through ip instead of localhost.I faced this issue in my project then I tried for we-retail page and I can see the issue exists ther as well. Can anyone help with this issue? Thanks in advance.
