I am trying to create a report in Adobe Analytics that shows how many users add a product to their cart on their very first Product Detail Page (PDP) view during a session. Essentially, I want to identify users who performed the "Add-to-Cart" action on their first encounter with a product page. This user exits the site after his first PDP viewsSpecifically, I need help with:1. How to set up a segment or report that tracks users who add an item to their cart on their first PDP view.2. What metrics, dimensions, or events should I be using to accurately capture this data.3. Any recommendations on how to visualize this within Adobe Analytics.Note: I have implemented prodview and add to cart event in PDP. I would appreciate any advice or steps to create this segment or report. Hello communityI would like to know what happened just before/after certain event, and how to segment that hit only.For example, I can use hit depth to track that event10 occurred on hit depth 20, 30 and 50. But how may I know what happened on hit 19 or 21, hit 29 or 31, hit 49 or 51, specifically. For example what was the pageName on those hits? I tried creating following calculated metrics, but no success.a) hit depth(event 10 occurs) - 1 hit depth = segment wantedb) hit depth(event 10 occurs) + 1 hit depth = segment wantedIf I use only before/only after option, then it would list ALL hits prior/after that spesific event, and Im not interested all hits, only hit just before/after that event. How to build segment for this purpose? I went thru Adobes material on sequential segments, but was not able to find solid work.around.I could imagine, that I'm not only one struggling with this. I've experienced a downtime in purchase tracking in analytics on my website due to a bug in a release, and I've been looking at solutions to recover the data that was missing during the tracking downtime. I was still tracking most of the information on my purchase page, but did not track the specific purchase event. I've had a look and it looks like I can use the bulk data insertion API to add the missed bookings back in, as I was still tracking purchase ID I will be inserting in the correct amount, and I can retrieve the rest of the details of the booking from other sources.My only question is, in the BDIAPI's required fields, it states that userAgent is required. I can get the rest of the fields from a data warehouse extract, but I was not tracking user agent so that information is lost - what is the purpose of user agent in this insertion? Would there be any issues introduced if I just used the same user agent for all uploads, as I only want to use this to set the purchase even

Why we extract data from Data Warehouse, multiple rows getting added and some values of eVars/variables seems persisting, contrary to Analysis Workspace report. Some detailed information regarding the same would be a great help.Thanks in Advance!

Hi Team, Currently we are using v26 of websdk extension and facing issue with external and download links i.e. External link is passing payload data only if external link is opening in new tab, if it is opening in same tab then collect call is firing but not passing payload data and data is not coming in reports. So, is it right? For download link, collects are not firing. Is anyone facing above issue for the same

in our adobe analytics we use query string parameter to define most of the channel rules. Unfortunately we made a logic mistake where it stated if query string does not contain "xyz" then set it to "social media organic". There were only a few strings set in that clause and so pretty much all traffic got classified to social media organic. We were surprised though because we could see in the raw data from our data feed that sometimes the query string parameter was in the PAGE URL but the channel was being set to social media organic. Looking at the CAMPAIGN field in the data field, which is the tracking code dimension, we can see that the channel gets reclassified for every hit were that is blank.  Two questions; can and should that field be set as persistent so the tracking code/query string parameter is always referencing the most recent in a visit?the social media organic rule was fairly low down, position 6 and there are hits in a visit where the

Hi, someone who consider this question.I've noticed that the total traffic reported for a marketing channel detail is less than the sum of each individual campaign ID (cid)'s traffic within that marketing channel detail. I suspect that this might be due to the way the marketing channel detail segments traffic, possibly by removing duplicate visitors. Could someone provide a more technical explanation for this discrepancy? Many thanks

I am currently employed as an Associate Software Engineer at @carelon Global Solution (India), a division of @elevance Health.When I'm thinking about becoming a career option, I'd like to know about potential career advancement in Adobe Analytics in the upcoming years. Is there any alternative tool who replace Adobe tools like Google analytics?.Since my friends claimed that it is only a tool and not the developer's work, anyone who has completed high school can handle it. Because of these remarks, I am becoming depressed.Is it good to considered as a better career in Adobe Analytics?

I want compare 2 groups of visitor:A-Ordered product: 1or2or3 in time period 1(say Aug.10th-Aug.25th) AND then ordered product: 4or5or6 in time period 2(say Aug.26th-Sep.5th)B-Ordered product: 4or5or6 in time period 2(say Aug.26th-Sep.5th) But Did Not order 1or2or3 in time period 1(say Aug.10th-Aug.25th) I created below segments:for supporting segment:segment#1-Visitor level: in a hit container Order exist and Product = 1or2or3, custom time period 1segment#2-Visitor level: in a hit container Order exist and Product = 4or5or6, custom time period 2for final segment:(for group A)segment#3-segment#1 And segment#2(for group B,)segment#4-segment#2 And exclude segment#1result: I can get a number of Unique Visitors for segment #3; but for segment#4, it is the same as segment#2.How can I have number for segment#4 that is segment#2-segment#3?Thanks a lot!

I need to create a custom event through the custom code in the Data Collection rule. To do this, I first enabled event 38 in Adobe Analytics (image 1). Then, within Data Collection, I added the code snippet to the Purchase rule, assigning it to event 38 (image 2). Interestingly, when testing, the s.products variable shows the calculation for this event (image 3), but the data is not being sent to Adobe Analytics. We need your help to review this issue.

Hi,I'm trying to create a segment to identify visits that do not include a specific event.To do so, I created a visit segment with 'Event does not exist'. Tried this in a visit container and just standalone.My expectation of this segment was that it would return all visits where there is no event.Instead, the segment returns almost 100% of visits, because (I assume) almost every visit has at least one hit that does not include the event. A visit segment with event = 0 or event <= 0 performs the expected function. Is this a bug in 'Does Not Exist' in visit segment behavior, or does this in fact function as intended?  TY, Jen     

The scenario goes like, my implementation is for an application and I have used the mobile SDK for the same. Now, all the allocation to eVars, props and events would happen via processing rules at the end. In my use case, when I am looking into the values of the out of the box events specifically for Product Views, Cart Additions, Cart Views, Checkouts and all..I am seeing the the count is twice or even, which means if product is added once, it is getting counted as twice. Please Note : It is a counter event not numeric and no any custom configuration is done in the report suite configuration as well. Cart AdditionsProduct ViewsProd A22Prod B04Prod C26 Thanks in Advance.

I've got a cohort table. It's set up to be visitors and it's by custom dimension. However, when I set up a cohort table and instead just put one of the values as a segment, I get a different starting number on the date where the cohort table begins, and it's a huge difference, about 90% lower. I created a freeform table for the same conditions by date, and I get a number that's different from both of those, but much closer to the single dimension value cohort table than the multiple dimension value cohort table. What is going on? I read up on the custom dimension breakout, and it uses the dimension only for inclusion criteria, not for return. I set up that single dimension accordingly, so that's not it. 

please let me know how to get dimensions and segments in calculated metrics 

Hi All,I am facing the below scenario and will need possible solution for this.Scenario:I have two pages. Say Page A and Page B. On page A I have a link which takes me to page B which is a form page. On page A the implementation trigger page load call where it captures page name in evar and same method is implemented page B.On page B the implementation also triggers a custom call for successful form submission CTA text on click in a prop.Now, when I breakdown this exact value of Form submission prop by pages, it provides me values with both page A and page B.I wonder why I see numbers of CTA clicks with both the pages. Should not It only be associated with page B as the form is on page B and page B page load triggers before than Form sign up.There are different Adobe Launch properties for both the pages but report suit for data collection is same.I am using occurrences, visit and a calculated metric where condition is visit with CTA value.ThanksAnimesh
