Adobe Analytics

Make instances an available metric for data warehouse reporting.  If it's in the regular UI it should be in DW too.

Description: While the new Data Warehouse UI is a much-welcomed step, I think it is missing some features that would make it more user friendly and efficient. These would be: 1. Add calculated metrics.2. Add custom date ranges.3. Add segments to individual dimensions. This is a Workspace staple, it is so necessary.4. Ability to edit/delete created accounts and locations. People make mistakes.5. Requesting an account name, description and hostname seems unnecessary.6. Ability to save notification emails.7. The "Save request" button unshaded seems weird and is unhelpful as you navigate the tabs. A Next button until the last tab (Notification email) would be more helpful. Why is this feature important to you1. Calculated metrics is an integral part of Adobe Analytics, and the success of content/campaigns cannot be fully measured without it.2. Custom date ranges. In addition to previous point, several campaigns and timeframes don't align with a standard calendar measurement (for e

Description -One feature of the Segment Builder is the ability to use existing segments when building out a new segment. I'll refer to this as a "reference segment".Once the reference segment is dragged into the Segment Builder it becomes "disconnected", and is more like a snapshot of what the reference segment looked like at the time. If an update is made to the reference segment this will not be reflected in any other segments that use it. It would be nice to have an option to "anchor" the reference segment so that any updates made to it are also reflected in other segments. This would preclude the Adobe Analytics user from having to find and update every segment that used the reference segment, and would ensure that changes to the reference segment are immediately reflected across all reports. This feature can be limited to only public segments. There are several risks associated with this idea.Uers may not be aware of how many segments use a particular reference segment a

Existing Option: When am trying to scroll down for adding the location when my browser option is 100%, am not able to see scroll bar options below. (Refer the image attached below.) Every time, I have to reduce my web browser size to 80% and then select the options further. Additional Option:So, I would like to add the point as to optimize the page in a way that even when I see it in 150% zoomed option it has to get modified according to that.

Description - We need the ability to work within and make our Workspace projects more aesthetically aligned and not have to worry about one component being slightly taller than another.  In other words, I should be able to cleanly size one component, especially one that has empty space in it, to be the same size as another one right next to it that DOES contain data. Why is this feature important to you - This feature allows for easy alignment of data that is alike and easily segregates other pieces of data that are not the same.  It allows for proper line of sight and does not distract the data viewer when attempting to inform data storytelling. How would you like the feature to work - I would prefer that I could simply click and drag on the border of a component and size it to the same height or width of its neighboring component and it would remain exactly the same size or height as that component next to it without snapping to a different size higher or lower.

Description - Why is this feature important to you - This can help me in doing comprehensive analysis. How would you like the feature to work - It would be great if we can capture a list of report suites where a given segment is currently used.Current Behaviour - we can see the segments which have been created using a particular report suite but can't pull out list of report suites which have used a particular segment.

Anomaly Detection is a great feature which is available in two Workspace visualizations: Freeform tables and Line Charts. For many years, anomalies would show automatically in Line Charts (provided Anomalies were enabled in the Viz settings) but it has recently been removed. Now, in order to see anomalies, it's necessary to first drop in a secondary 'time series' breakdown dimension (for example 'Day') in the underlying data table and then select the values in the table in order to see anomalies in the line chart. Even though, it's just a few extra clicks, it is really annoying, especially when reviewing a large number of items. It's also difficult to train internal stakeholders to do this extra step.  According to Client Care, this is not a bug but a feature that has been withdrawn (though I can't find any official documentation, for example in the release notes). Adobe, please bring back the old functionality!

One suggestion that I would love to make to the Adobe team is - can we ask them to offer other data format options other than just CSV files?    If the file format could be a modern file format like parquet, then that would also make our processing much more efficient.   When we get the Adobe files, the first thing we have to do is pre-process them to format the files, because of the way they are structured.  This slows down the entire process by a lot, and is also expensive. In brief:   The format of the CSV files that are provided are not "splittable" to be able to be processed by a big data tool like Spark or Databricks.  The reason is that there are new-line characters embedded in some of fields, and CSV files have to be processed serially when that is the case.  This is an inherent limitation of the design of the CSV format.   As a result, these huge files, which are multiple GB in size, have to be processed initially

Description -I am working on internal sites that are built for our organization. All these internal sites are being tracked using Adobe Analytics under same Account name but have different report suites. Therefore, we have mutliple report suites under one Account. I want manage users for each of the report suites using APIs as I can then automate/schedule the managing user list. As of now I have to go to individual report suites and manage the users or go to indivisual users and manage their permissions. Why is this feature important to you -This will help me in automating and adding or deleting users from the whitelist created for each of the report suites under singly account.  How would you like the feature to work -I should be able to write a python script that will pull list of users with their permission from a CSV or tab delimited and add to the desired report suite. Current Behaviour -Right now we use Admin console and not APIs. Managing users happen at grou

We are requesting an "Adobe Detected" (VISTA) rule for Social Network traffic referrals. We are in the process of updating our marketing channel classifications and have observed that our social channel rules need updating. We currently use "Adobe Detected" rules for other channels, like Paid Search and Natural Search, and we're interested in seeing these "Adobe Detected" rules extend to Social Networks.Given the dynamic nature of social networks, having an "Adobe Detected" rule specific to Social Network traffic would improve our ability to stay up-to-date with new platforms, rather than requiring us to manually update this list each time a new platform is introduced. This would streamline our efforts and ensure more accurate channel classifications.

Description -Set the Month of Year dimension to be configured to each report suite's calendar type. Why is this feature important to you -We use the 4-5-4 for our report suites and this dimension is based on calendar year for the order. Other metrics like day of week adjust based on the calendar format set for the report suite. How would you like the feature to work -Set your date range to last year (according to NRF 4-5-4 Calendar). Rows for Month of year would be 1. February2. March3. April4. May5. June6. July7. August8. September9. October10. November11. December12. Product - Customer Journey Analytics  (CJA) Description - Date and Time Filter in Segmentation (Reporting Segmentation)Why is this feature important to you - To segment data from date & time dimensionHow would you like the feature to work - seamlessly Current Behaviour - Currently we are unable to filter a date range in  with a segment given a date/time is in dimension ex - transaction date. To make matters more complicated this transaction date is present in profile dataset. For such cases it would nice to have segmentation for date range like we have in the data view to filter such as "before" or after a particular date. I have attached screen shots currently in data view and segments as a reference RegardsShrikar

Description - Building content in Analysis Workspace can be challenging. We've all been in situations where someone asks for support (within our company, the Experience League, or other platforms like Measure Slack) when trying to build a Segment, Calculated Metric, or Analysis Workspace Project. Oftentimes, this then leads to length discussions of "drop this one slot below! No, not at the very bottom, above that! No, that's where you started! Let me give you a screenshot! No, don't drag it onto the screenshot! Argh!" and lots more screenshots, messages, and "can't we just hop on a quick call?" of 2 hours length. As a second scenario, agencies and consultants often want to easily bring content from one IMS Org to another one. Even admins within a company wish they could just quickly make changes like replacing all instances of a wrong Segment with the correct one in a Workspace Project. However, there is no quick way to do this today. Thirdly, enthusiasts like me tried building communi

Description -Why is this feature important to you- ECID is the backbone of AEP, providing a way to consolidate all activity through to one "person". Through profile stitching, ECID is a great feature that we can use (and not have to re-invent the entire fingerprint / visit / user consolidation). How would you like the feature to work - Upon loading Launch.js library, ECID should already be resolved (via server side cookie? or available as a property within _satellite), so that ECID can be read immediately and incorporated into custom XDM for initial pageView / sendEvent -- so that downstream services can read custom XDM field. Current Behaviour- In order to obtain ECID, a separate and async request (alloy getIdentity) must be made, which causes a delay, which has an affect on Adobe Target "flicker" -- since we have to await ECID so that any Target Activities and/or other applications (AEP) that need ECID are gaurenteed to have ECID resolved and exposed in the XDM.- This gener

Description - I would like to print the entire report opened using the link generated by Share with Anyone feature. I am only able to print the current page and not able to print all the pages. Why is this feature important to you - It is important for the business users to share the prints of the reportHow would you like the feature to work - I would like to print all the pages of the report.Current Behaviour - Only the current page is being printed.

Currently there are the following 2 options within the segment builder:Only Before SequenceOnly After Sequence (which actually seems include the sequence itself as well)Although these are a welcome improvement they don't allow enough flexibility to really be able to drive the maximum value out of the solution (which means we don't use it as much as we should).I would like to see the 2 options replaced with the following 5 option:Before the sequence (excluding the sequence itself)Before the sequence (including the sequence itself)The sequence (everything between the start and end of the sequence)After the sequence (excluding the sequence itself)After the sequence (including the sequence itself)I think these would be a logic and useful extension of the existing functionality which would significantly increase the value of the capability - please can this be considered?

This pertains to the Adobe Analytics October 4, 2023 Release pertaining to Segment Manager and Calculated Metrics Manager - New Columns The following new columns are now available when managing components:Used in: This column is available in the Calculated metrics manager and the Segments manager.Last used: This column is available in the Calculated metrics manager, the Segments manager, and the Alerts manager. This information can help you determine whether a component is valuable to users in your organization, where it is used, and if it needs to be deleted or modified. You can use the Data Dictionary along with this information to help you keep track of and better understand how components are being used in your organization. Thank you, and how awesome is that!  I absolutely agree that this has huge benefits when it comes to Segment Management – Plan, Build, Tag, Approve, Apply, Share, Filter, Favorite, Rename, Delete, Publish, etc., helps with governance, set up of or

For the new Data Warehouse layout, we really need a quick option to input an email on a field and have the file be sent to that email. Currently we need to add an account and add a location, where most of the mandatory fields are not relevant for email exports and ends up being very confusing. Email is currently the destination of the majority of the exports so it would make sense to have a quick way to set it up.

Description - I have run into issues with quick segments. When copying a panel or a project, the quick segment copies over and changes on all versions of the copy when I change it. When I submitted an Adobe support ticket, it was explained that "Engineering teams have reviewed our case to find that the reasoning behind the changing segments is that quick segments operate similarly to standard segments in that once they are created they are assigned a specific segment ID. When copied, the copy of the report containing segments also ties to this same segment ID (so it's not a new segment calculated on the fly). As a result, each dashboard references the same overarching segment, so when the definition is changed in one, the change show in the other because ultimately each report is referencing a single segment ID."I believe the most ideal way for this to function should be that when copied, a new copy of the segment is created and referenced in the new report. This would allow the u

Add the ability to filter community search results by type: all, questions, ideas, discussions, etc. Add a label to the search result item that indicates whether the item is a question, idea, discussion, etc.One can search in community using the top of page search box with the community filer applied. When you get the results, there is no indication of whether the search result item is an idea, a question, or one of the other community types. You cannot filter to see just ideas, or questions, etc. This ability would help me (and presumably others) to more easily see if an idea or question had already been submitted.

When we have scheduled projects that are distributed as PDFs, is there a way to get the year of the date range to show up in the annotation summary? The below is pretty misleading, because the 10/18 issue was in 2022 but the 10/17 – 10/18 issue was in 2023.

Description - With the recent introduction of the "used in" column for Segments and Calculated Metrics which is super useful, it would be great if this could be extended to not only show the projects they are used in but also to highlight if they are used in Report Builder also! Why is this feature important to you - When cleaning metrics and segments up without knowing if they are in Report Builders requests then these could be deleted and break the requests if people go off the "used in" column which currently doesn't show thisHow would you like the feature to work - When using the "used in" column for it to list all projects and also all report builder requests too so can review when doing cleaningCurrent Behaviour - Not showing Report Builder projects

Why?  Debugging and doing validation with Charles Proxy is time consuming and exposes a security risk by embedding the certificate in the builds. How would you like the feature to work - Possibly a developer companion app that can read deep links produced through AEP Assurance and launch the Android TV or Apple TV with the deeplink configured through AEP Assurance. This will dramatically increase the time for validation and development as we will need to rely either on Charles or on post-processed events in Analytics that typically sees a delay of 30 minutes before we can check the data generated.

Description - URLs are the internet's way to uniquely identifying pages on websites. In many analytics tools, URLs are displayed alongside performance metrics to illustrate the performance of a certain page. And while CJA and AA encourage us to use a human-readable page name instead of the URL as identifier, many stakeholders prefer a plain list of URLs to analyse performance. By having direct access to the URL, stakeholders can simply copy it to the browser's address bar to quickly find out what page is behind the URL. This is a completely legitimate approach, and I think we can make it easier to follow by allowing URLs to be clickable in CJA. Today, users have to copy the dimension item manually, which (in an attempt to be helpful) will also copy that URL's metrics into the search bar, requiring manual work or a detour to Google because of the malformed format: Why is this feature important to you - To allow users to quickly and easily find out which page is behind a URL or which re
