Just trying to understand how different organizations use workfront today and the good and bad they've seen with it My Org uses it mainly for budget plan entry and requesting Horizontal(shared team) resourcing. They are not doing ongoing management of the request in the system Fatema Dalal Facebook, Inc.

We use it for many things: Project Management Capacity & Resource Planning Helpdesk Agile Scrum Team work Request processing (Hardware, Software, New Hires, Offboarding, Server Requests, Server Decommissions, and more) Test Case creation and Test Results (we don't use it much for this, but it's available for our teams if they choose to) Basically we use it in our entire IT department to manage our work. And some of our business teams have adapted it as well to manage their work. It works well in all of these areas. It works very well with communication and logging of status on tasks, issues, and requests (aka Issues in WF). It has a very strong reporting function too (which is really more of Views than reports because you can drill down into the data). If you set your data up properly you can write a report to slice and dice your data a million ways (including with charts, etc.). Like any other tool though, it will need care and feeding or it will die a slow death. The business teams that requested to use Workfront assume it's plug and play and everything will be great. But I always forewarn them that it looks user friendly (and it is) but without developing their basic skills and understanding how it works, they'll get frustrated and/or stop using it.
