Understanding of WF Language

We've thinking about creating kind of 'Dictionary of Workfront Language'. We would like to explain every single name of a object, fields etc. Before I start, I would like to ask if anyone has done it in the past? Or maybe they are somewhere some articles about it? Thanks.

Hi: There have been numerous discussions of the “WorkFront Data Dictionary”. Search the forum for “Data Dictionary” for the prior discussions. We sure want one. The closest thing we have is: 1) https://developers.workfront.com/api-docs/api-explorer/ 2) AtApp has a great tool http://store.atappstore.com/product/snapshot-schema/ 3) This Forum There is no document that has the table-attribute-business semantic information. We can get at the table-attribute information, we can surmise they used the same attribute names when they do a foreign key reference, but there is nothing that has the business semantic. The AtApp tools are the most helpful. It might be worth the money to pull down a copy of your database one time, and then analyze it to see how they put the database together. If you have ERWIN, even better. I’d really suggest you start with the AtApp toolset. I’ve spoken to WorkFront techies in the past and they tell me there is no data dictionary with business semantic type of document internally. It is tribal knowledge. If you are a new reporting consultant, you learn the business semantic the old fashioned way. Hope this helps! Eric
