You're most welcome. Here are some more details.
To shorten whichever fields(s) are taking up all the vertical space:
Click the column in question (e.g. "Next Steps/Follow Ups" in your screenshot)
Click the Text Mode link (top right)
Click the resulting text mode (middle of the screen)
Find the line that says "valuefield=…"
Change that line to instead say "valueexpression=LEFT(…,100)"
Rinse and repeat for any other columns
Save the view
The result, if all goes well should be that your vertical space is now considerably shorter, having restricted each "big" text entry column to show only the first 100 characters ( The Good ). However, before you dive in, I should also point out that in switching to valueexpression, it also means that parameter will no longer be editable in the view ( The Bad ), and as there is no global setting as such so you'll have to manually repeat this approach on every such view and/or report you have ( The Ugly ).
