Time in days spent on project stages

Hi , So little bit of background - in our project methodology we've got stages. I would like to pull report which would tell me the number od days spend in between stage 1 and 3. Every single stage has got parent task equally name as the stage. My perfect calculation would be number of days between Actual Start Date of Stage 1 and Actual Completion Date of Stage 3. Hi Dags, Although I think the best/easiest way would be via some API trickery, if you're looking for an out of the box solution to measure between the actual start of stage 1 and the actual completion of stage 3, I'd suggest you adapt my "http://store.atappstore.com/2010/09/going-the-extra-milestone/">Going The Extra Milestone blog post to create a new Project Summary section in your workplan to contain this (and any other) calculation.
