Reporting YTD, Year over year

I recently built a report that shows number of tasks completed YTD, year over year so it displays tasks completed from 2016, 2017 and 2018. However, I realized that for the 2017 and 2016 data, it isn't showing YTD. It's showing completed tasks for the entire year. I can I filter that to only show YTD tasks for previous years? Thanks! Hi Shannon, The issue to me to be the first section of the rules (number of children = 0 AND task status = complete). This is going to bring all complete tasks into your report, not just those within the last 3 YTD comparison years. Same goes with the last section of rules which doesn't have any date range specified. Because you're using OR between each of these sections, basically the report is going to run each time for each of the sections independently and then add all the results together. I can see that you do have each of the 3 YTD rules in there, but the portfolio ID is only applied in the one of the current yet. For consistency you would probably want to apply that for the other year filters. Hope that helps. I've attached an updated version of your screenshot to help explain. Regards, David Cornwell

Hi Shannon, On the Actual Completion Date parameter for YTD, try editing the end range and type $$TODAYey (EY for end of year). Hope that helps. Edmund Quintana Baggage & IT Dept

Hi David - Sorry for the back and forth. I updated the report like you had attached but not it's definitely not accurate. It's only showing 132 completed tasks from last year and 3,437 so far for this year. I'm not sure what went wrong? Shannon Bodick Edina Realty Home Services Plus
