Report on Reports and their selected Fields to view

Hello Workfront Community,

I'm attempting to clean up some custom fields in our system and I'd like to create a report that will give me a list of Reports that include these custom fields.

Is this possible?

thanks,

Kelly

I'm not sure if you are aware that there is native functionality that does this. If you create a parameter report or, if in the custom fields area, you create a view, the name of the column is "Reports" and this should give you a list of the reports. Or if you were aware, are you having a problem with this column?

One caveat: any change you make to reports won't reflect on your report until the next day. When I have to make changes to remove a field from a report, I usually open all of them up, change all of them, and then wait until the following day to see if I missed anything.

Thank you.  This is what I needed.  I didn't know about this, so thank you.
Now is there a way to add what views the custom fields are in?

For beginner report builders, I usually suggest something along these lines:

https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-questions/quot-view-quot-reporting/m-p/502734#M34484

Basically go to the View area in Setup, and then create a column for the "definition" -- this will pull in the view's coding on the back end. It won't be pretty but at least you can search in there for the field names.

Hi @kelly_starzent,

As an alternative to rolling your own solution as @skyehansen suggested, I also invite you to consider our Report Custom Form and Parameters solution, which automatically enumerates your Workfront Custom Forms and Parameters into an Excel spreadsheet that you can use for clean up, maintenance planning, and backup documentation.

Regards,

Doug
