Renaming Wedges in pie chart report

Hello - I am trying to shorten the names of the wedges in my pie chart report and can't seem to figure out how to do it. Is there a way to shorten a name (i.e. Corporate Operations to Corp Op)? I tried the custom colors link but there's nothing under that function to do this edit. I would appreciate any help! Thanks, Bridget Dickey Ascensus

the only way I know of to do that would be to create a calculated field along the lines of "IF X THEN Y" (so, if the answer is "Corporate Operations," spit out "Corp Op") and then grouping on the calculated field instead of whatever you are grouping on. -skye
