Has anyone had luck with creating recurring tasks when creating a template? You can do them for projects but I can't seem to find the option. Thanks! Susan

In order to do this, you must create the template from an existing project with the recurring task that you want in the template. We tested it and it appears to work. 1. Create project with recurring task that you want, with associated form is applcable 2. save as template 3. create project from the template recurring is present and editable. Mark Shell OH-DAS

Thank you, Mark. I was aware of that but didn't want to do it that way. The project we are doing is more maintenance throughout the year. Having the recurring task option in templates would be good. Susan

I recently came across a project that required the creation of a project with a standard set of 48 issues. Since templates don't support preset issues, we had to use a project that is used as a template. We just copy the project when needed, which is basically the same thing that a template does. If converting an issue, you'll still have to manually set the resolving object link. Narayan Raum Workfront CoE Manager & Delivery Lead SunTrust Bank
