We have a workflow where a user requests a project as an issue. The request goes through a couple of approvals and then the second approver converts it into a project. We observed that the approval information on the issue is lost once it is converted to a project. We noticed that it is only stored as 'Note' on the issue.
Is there a way to write a project report which will display this approval information in 'Note' object on the issue? We need it to be a project report so that we can add it as a tab on each project to layout template. Users have access to the project. We were able to create a separate 'Note' report, but it doesn't work on the layout template. 'Notes' are on the request project and not on the converted project. When that report is added to a layout template, it tries to automatically search for the converted project rather than the request project and doesn't find any notes there.
