Prevent users from adding any more documents to a request

Avatar

Level 3

Is there a way, maybe with share settings, to prevent users from adding any more documents. after a request is converted to a project.

The only way I see is to remove all permission from all users except admins.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @FrankatMSC,

Negative, but one common pattern is to change the Workfront settings to automatically delete Requests upon conversion to a Project (or Task): no Request, no files added to the wrong spot.

That said, it's a big decision, so Proceed With Caution...

Doug

@Doug_Den_Hoed__AtAppStore @Sven-iX Thanks for your replies.  Frustrating that there isn't a simpler answer.  There should be a way to prevent changes to a request after its converted.

We've done this on a client implementation - programmatically (Fusion) locking the request. Doable but a bit tedious.
Doug's comment is just configuration and gets my vote.
