Preset Folders in new Projects

Avatar

Is it possible to have preset folders created in the document section when you create a new project (original creative, invoices, copy, etc. etc.)? I am guessing it would be possible when you use a project templates to create a project but I am wondering if you could do it if you don't use a template. Our projects are so varied that we generally only use templates for repeat projects. Any ideas anyone?

Bill, Setting up template(s) with preset folders would work. You could also copy and existing project if there is a folder structure existing within a project that is already in the system. The system gives you the below options when copying a project so you can select the status and just not clear the documents section.

Instead of templates, are you making each project from scratch, and then populating each project with tasks? Are the Document Folders consistent across different projects? (ex. The tasks vary greatly, but the Folders are generally the same) If that's the case, you can make a blank Project template with those preset project folders...and then add your tasks as you are currently. Bill, It would be interesting to understand the perception of "so different". I've found that projects have a general cadence that they run through, especially given the folder titles you are looking to standardize. I've attached screen shots of a template I've created for our Marketing creative team. I'll have to send you the screen shots via email, my company is blocking the source of the attachment function.
