Please Help: Deliverable addition date compared to Status Date

Avatar

I'd be extremely grateful if anyone out there can help me. Our organization does not convert deliverables to projects - instead, we submit projects and the deliverables are added to them via custom forms. We are having trouble meeting deadlines because the Marketing Team will add deliverables AFTER the project is current or almost complete. I believe this has to be done via text mode. I'm struggling with a report to show: Deliverable entry date is after "Current" status was applied to the project. Betsy Kephart The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company LLC

Hi Betsy, To capture the date a Project was converted to "Current" Status (going forward), I'd suggest you: create a calculated date custom parameter (e.g. "Converted To Current") add that parameter to a Project Custom Form (either an existing one, ideally; or a new one and attach it to every Project / Template) set the parameter's formula to IF(ISBLANK(Converted To Current),IF(Status="CUR",$$NOW,Converted To Current),Converted To Current)) Having that date is somewhat helpful, but as I thought this through a bit more, I'd suggest going even further: in general, for every Deliverable that is getting "snuck in", create a "Validate" calculated text custom parameter to go with it that catches and reports when its corresponding Deliverable was added when the Project was already in Current mode.
