A resource manager and worker would like to have tasks at a very granular level 4 to 16 hours. These would be sub tasks based on how we are doing things today.
However, PMs managing at that granular of a level can be frustrating for everyone involved. As long as the changes in sub tasks don’t result in a change in the finish date of the rolled up task there should be no issue/change request/management activity.
This may be more of a process question rather than tool useage, but I'd love to hear how it’s been resolved elsewhere.
