Lock Proofs during Review - Not allowing comments to be resolved

Level 8
We have an ongoing issue of users resolving proof comments while someone is still reviewing the document. While we appreciate their eagerness, it is causing issues for the person reviewing as comments are jumping around and other confusion. We have had the "please stop doing this and here's why" conversation with the worst offenders, but they are not following our directive. We are using the Workfront document approval system, not Workfront Proof. We've tried locking the proof, but it locked the person reviewing from making comments. We tried checking the document out, but it was still openable. Do you guys have any suggestions or ideas that have worked for your teams? Thanks! Wendy White GM Financial

Wendy - For our team, we have made a rule that no work should be done (resolving comments, uploading a new version, etc.) until the approval decisions have been made. Ex: If our designer send the document to three people to approve, the designer does not make any edits or marks any comment as resolved until they have gotten a decision (approve, approve with changes, or reject) from all three people. This is more of a process agreement than something the tool governs, but it works well for our team. Hope this helps. Joe Benes Brighthouse Financial Charlotte, NC

Thanks for the insight, Joe! I had a feeling this would be the general consensus, but wanted to check. Wendy White AmeriCredit Financial Services, Inc. dba GM Financial
