Internet Explorer and Workfront

Several users have indicated that when using Internet Explorer, they are unable to make updates on the document level. The box appears grey and does not allow the user to type. Since mid-November, I have noticed sporadic issues when using IE with Workfront. For example, I've also experienced the inability to tag a user on an update when using IE. Is anyone else experiencing this? Hi Jeanette, Internet Explorer is not fully supported so that's going to be the norm if you're using Internet Explorer. We train our users to use Google Chrome when using Workfront. Here's an article on Browser Requirements that should be helpful: https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/216606648-Workfront-Browser-Requirements Mohini (Mini) Sinha Excelsior College

Hi Jeanette With regards to the tagging issue – Workfront are aware of this problem and are working on a fix. You will have the same problem in Chrome. When you switch to Chrome you should notice quite a speed difference as well. Do you use external links to documents, e.g. SharePoint? Just wondering – if you do there's something else you should know about using Chrome....... Hi Laura – We are not using external links to documents and have not experienced any issues with Chrome thus far but thanks for the feedback. I wanted to eliminate the possibility that these issues were exclusive to us. Thank you! --- Internet Explore is best suited as the primary utility to download Firefox or Chrome.... <> if your organization requires IE -- which I understand. Try to still install Chrome or Firefox. and then have the users create a shortcut/app on their desktops called Workfront - which opens Chrome or Firefox. Here's a good link to show how from Chrome. The Why? Depending how your users work - this will allow them to keep using IE as normal -- but will give them a quick way into Chrome ---> Workfront. View this on Laptopmag > John Seitz ESPN
