Upvoted. Is there a feature request already to allow staging and promoting forms to production from the sandbox? I just had to make a large change and doing it twice (once in sandbox to test and once in Prod) was the opposite of fun. I have an Idea Exchange idea How about an Idea Exchange that doesn't require people to organize a grassroots campaign to promote their ideas to an absurd number of upvotes to be considered by the product team. "Throw everything against the wall and see what sticks" - that's great for big features that you need to plan the development for, but it falls short for minor quality of life or UI tweaks or fixes. The Idea Exchange forum is just a crazy list of random requests which, in order to get any traction, people have to go around and beg for votes by cross posting to other sections so that their idea will be considered. I get the intended goal, but it seems shallow and poorly implemented. Richard Carlson Behr Process Corporation

Very good points, Richard. It really needs curating so that there is not the huge volume of small tweaks cluttering up the big ideas. There is now such an overwhelming number of ideas that I don't have time to go through and review and vote on any. I now mainly vote when others promote the idea, or I come up with a similar idea and go searching before I submit it myself. I suggest that the Idea Exchange could work better if the following process was used: Users submit ideas to Product Management. Product Management categorise the idea as minor or major. Minor ideas would then be managed by Product Management and either accepted immediately, put on hold for consideration, or rejected. Major ideas (if not accepted immediately by Product Management) would go onto the idea exchange to be voted upon. David Cornwell

Agreed David. Certainly with the most recent release, the "minor" tweaks have given us the biggest benefit e.g. duplicating tasks, creating projects from templates etc. I would definitely like to see more of these improvements but with the Idea Exchange currently there's no weighting of effort. Thinking about it some more actually, the last roadmap call I had skipped some sections entirely (e.g timesheets) that are ripe for a handful of small (low effort) improvement that could really improve usability for some people. I would like to see a dedicated "Small Change" section of these calls and make it clear that a) WF is not simply focusing on big-ticket improvements e.g. resourcing and b) that these small changes can and do come from the Idea Exchange (perhaps helped by having a dedicated 'small change' section to post ideas within). @David Cornwell , I totally agree on curating. In fact, when I've been out there, if I start running acr oss ideas that are duplicates of others, I try to include links to all of the duplicates on each Idea, it's a pain, but in my mind I'm hopefully being helpful. :) It's too easy for someone to open an idea without doing any searching to see if they are creating a duplicate...not to mention if they don't happen to be hitting all the keywords to find them. I'd really like to see this improved, because the scattering of the votes on duplicates makes me concerned that good ideas just won't get the needed visibility. Admin Kelly-Wehrmann SSFCU

Hi peeps! I have now created the Idea to give as an ability to pull all data/numbers from Resource Planned to a report! This way, we could present those numbers as we need. Group them, present in charts, matrix reports etc. I assume not only me would like it :) We're able to create report with data from Legacy Resource Estimates which helps to present some future plan in nice chart. So would be good if we can retain this ability. Please upvote! I can not believe that the HUGE orange Work On It button is not reportable (there is no way to know when someone clicks the button) and does not change the task status to "In Progress". Workfront can report on almost every other single action but not the huge orange button that everyone clicks every single day? Just crazy. Workfront is being renamed to "WorkAround" by my teams because that is what we are always having to do, work around the missing functions in Workfront.
