We've made reports in our instance that help illustrate growth and I think what we do could work perfectly for you. I've outlined the steps to create a report for your need below.
1. Create a User Report within Workfront.
2. On the Column (View) tab of the report page, add the "User > Entry Date" as a column.
3. Navigate to the Groupings tab, add the "User > Entry Date" as grouping to your report. You can choose to group your entry dates by day, week, month, quarter, or year. I recommend quarterly to keep the chart easy to read, but it can still illustrate the growth overtime.
4. Navigate to the Chart tab, select "Record Count" for your Left (Y) Axis and "Entry Date" for your Right (X) Axis.
5. Lastly, name your report and add a detailed description.
