Now creating an approval process is more straightforward, as follows:
Multiple approval processes can be associated with a single object. Prior to this change, only a single approval processes could be associated with an object.
Approval paths have been replaced with multiple approval processes.
Rather than creating one, complex approval process with multiple approval paths, you now create multiple approval processes and associate them with the same object.
If you have approval processes with multiple paths, the single process will be divided into multiple processes.
You can now have multiple types of approvers per stage.

What to try: you can check your existing approval processes in Setup > Processes > Approvals as well as on your project task or issue approvals tab. You can now apply more than one approval process to your project task or issue and add a user, job role and a team within the same approval stage.
